Isnt this motherfukker Indian:gucci:, and yall do realize a belief in GOD is what allowed Black People to make it thru 500 years of slavery, the crack epidemic etc.

Now that Black spirituality is at an all time low yall really wonder why Black Pride is at an all time low, the Black church was more then Just believing in some white Jesus it was a community.

Sick and tired of this fukkin Indian that openly capes for white neo liberal elitism and thinks Michael Brown deserved to die..

baby boomers destroyed the black church...hopefully xers and under can figure a way out to restore it or at least get youngins to focus on building a relationship with God...all of the people turning away is not good but then again a personal relationship is more important...if you believe God exists then you gotta realize modern society is designed to spin you away God
People need to concentrate on self-development and building their confidence up and cultivate relationships with others in their community. This can be can be done without involving religion. Although, I respect people's faith, I've noticed that people have become too dependent on external forces to change their dire conditions. Change start within and when you initiate action to prosper.

Don’t pray for something you’re not working for.

This is what it’s about.

The assault of the mind and spirit by society to the point where rights seems wrong and wrong seems right. It’s always been this way and I think once a person realizes this, they grow spiritually.

Death
I'm a born again Christian. I recently left the church I grew up at after spending almost every Sunday there since 1999. I left because I'm too old to be in the youth group anymore (13-19) and my church has literally ZERO young adults besides myself. In addition to that, I love my pastor to death BUT I don't feel like his message really resonates with me. He tailors his sermon for the old people in the church. The congregation is 60% old people in their 60s & 70s, 30% people in their 30s & 40s, and 10% are the kids/grandkids of the aforementioned groups.

I then set out for my new church home. I've found several churches with LOTS of young people in the congregation, and I've found several black churches. Here's the problem I've kept running into:

-THE YOUNG CHURCHES ARE ALL WHITE/WHITE-PASSING LATINOS, AND I DON'T WANNA BE IN A ROOM FULL OF TRUMP VOTERS
-THE BLACK CHURCHES ARE ALL FULL OF OLD FARTS THAT CAN'T & WON'T RELATE TO ME

This is all extremely irritating to deal with. Can't no place give me that home feeling like a black church, but I need a place with a young adult small group that can empathize with my daily struggle as a young Christian prone to weakness in an unclean world.

Same problem I've run into.
Wife wants to go to a black church but the local black churches are the same way...full of old people...and we don't feel like doing all the work AGAIN at a black church because all the members are elderly and the pastor sees us and gets all
:gladbron::ooh::leon::umad:
schemin on gettin us to do everything from open the church, clean it, get flyers ready, do hospitality, play in the band, usher, collect offering, clean up afterwards and close the church....two fkn people.
:wtf:
fukk THAT shyt!!!
:pacspit::pacspit::pacspit::pacspit:

Sooo....we go to a mixed white/latino church and damn real...almost every one of them motherfukkers are trump voters. Wind up not really connecting with the sermon, talking to anyone or interacting and only being there to check the box for "Went to church".
Seriously need more variety in the black community

Young adult black people aren't in church because they either accepted the fact that we're gonna die and aren't afraid, or just accept the things we do and have done...no need for salvation.
The only people that are in church are kids that are dragged there or the elderly that are afraid of dying and the fear of eternal hell is on their shoulders...

No one living their life and enjoying it is gonna be in church breh...

It’s the information age, most young people have don a little research and figured out that pretty much all mythology and folklore, including the bible, is derivative.
