Why are there barely any young black adults in church?

I think location is important and if we were to take a poll obviously Blacks in more southern/rural towns would be far more religious then Black living in more liberal areas on the West Coast, and im certain Blacks that live in extreme poverty/violence as they are in the Midwest would be more atheist.
you should have just posted this and left it at that, nothing else you said is true.

Because church isn’t needed. I would say black people are becoming less religious (and that might be the case, even though my Twitter tl says otherwise) but ain’t nobody trying to pay 10% so their pastor can buy a new sports car.
I know a pastor with a maserati...

aint no white jesus coming back to save you, he can't even save us from atrocities we been facing hundreds of years here in amerikkka and through out the world. The only savior is self.... its up to you to wake up that divine consciousness within self.
are u just saying these things or do you believe in God

Putting aside whether or not you believe in God, what exactly has American Protestantism done for black people in this country? Yes, yes, movements have sprung from the black church, but only because that was the best place for black people to all meet and talk about these things. The internet has taken the place of the church in that role.

And American Protestantism in particular has been more harmful to black people in America than anything. Southern Baptists are a sect built around making life worse for black people if you read the history of the Southern Baptist Church. There's nothing there for us.

Hip-hop culture has replaced the church as the biggest influence on young blacks.
There's no doubt hip-hop is the biggest influence on the black youth(hell the youth period), but why do you think all people in this country are slowly not caring for a religion?

That's a legit question.

I haven't been to church in over a decade

somewhere a long the way, all the dudes in there were FLAMING homosexuals

and i'm talking about various churches I visited in college, different states and cities

I have no problem with them. but if you're not that way, it makes you feel out of place :manny:
