Why are grown men constantly obsessing over Adam Cole’s body?

“We gotta get more weight on Adam Cole, you know what I mean? That’s his problem, he’s light, bottom light. We gotta get some muscle on this kid. That’s probably one of the reasons why he’s going out there, getting hurt because it can’t be the schedule at AEW.” (quotes courtesy of WrestlingInc.com)

:dame: What the hell is 'Bottom Light'. Book saying Adam Cole needs a bigger ass?:mjlol:

Cole doing a Panama Sunrise to Bronson Reed in NXT was just :beli:

Breh, even in the old wrestling games the skinny fat looking wrestlers struggled to pick them big ass wrestlers up. Meanwhile, Cole can magically do it at ease IRL:deadrose:

Its complicated but I can't take a dude doing power moves that looks like he can barely lift a Five Guys burger with all the toppings :francis:

If anyone wants to know why some people have an issue with Cole it's basically this. He's portrayed as a wrestler and character that it's hard/impossible for some of us to suspend disbelief and buy him as that kind of performer. He wrestles like he's a mix of a hoss and a baddass but he doesn't look like first one nor executes like the second one.

Having said all that, all of us who don't care for Cole are clearly a minority. Dude is very over and the core fanbase of AEW sees him as a great wrestler and character so let's not act like we are some kind of majority or "everyone hates him" or some shyt like that :manny:

I never understood why people want Cole to change what made him very successful throughout his entire career. Cole is skinny because he's not a power guy but a guy that uses speed, skill and heel tactics that lead to victories.

There are hundreds of wrestlers in WWE, AEW, New Japan, Indys and etc and you don't have to like them all. If Adam Cole isn't your cup of tea that perfectly fine but to get angry over who he is and how he do things is very silly to me.

I don't like Adam Cole. I don't get Adam Cole. But there's a large portion of the wrestling audience that enjoys him. Why change what's working for him just because a few guys on the internet think he should look like Brian Cage?
I agree with this but no one is asking for him to look brolic. If he looked like PAC I'd probably dislike his work too to be honest. It goes beyond physique with him. His look is what makes it impossible for me to understand how he connects so much with the audience but even if he changed I'd still be "he's over but I can't connect with breh".

He shouldn't change anything until he stops being over. The problem is fully with the people that don't "get him" (myself included).

But his style goes way beyond how he wins matches. When I see him work I see a dude that dominates his matches and works long control sections in a way that feels fake to the point it's impossible to suspend disbelief (like wrestling requires you to). Like, when I see him work on top I just feel like it's happening because that's how he pre planned it with his opponent, not because he worked a body part, or cheated, or took advantage of an opening, or because he's superior to his opponent in something.

The disconnect is so big I try to avoid most of the matches he's involved in. And I try to keep my bytching and moaning to a minimum.

:dame:OP let me put it this way. As you get in depth with the wonderful world of professional wrestling, eventually you care about the bod in the process.

I'm kinda the opposite, growing up as a youngin' seeing all of the larger guys I've noticed that they are very limited in what they can do in the ring. It was always the smaller guys and average looking guys that always worked harder and was more talented in my eyes hence why child me never cared for roided out Hoegan and Warrior but loved smaller guys like The Rockers and out of shape guys like Dusty Rhodes and Bam Bam Bigelow.

Even when I got older I stan'd for guys that were deemed smaller like Bret Hart and HBK rather than the larger guys that botched alot. I don't know... I'm just juelzin' at this point but that's my opinion on the matter.

I'm not an Adam Cole fan by any means but it's funny how everyone is complaining about him not being believable at his size but were also complaining about the rumors of him being a manager on the E main roster.

Is it Oochie Wally or is it One Mic?
