I'm amazed at how you keep arguing against some point I'm not making.

I DO NOT AGREE WITH THE IDEA EITHER BLACK MEN OR WOMEN HAVE IT WORST OR BETTER THAT EACH OTHER.

:dahell:

Who are you arguing against?

Exactly.

I make a statement and get neg messages and smilies. No actual facts to support black women being the least supported and second most targeted group in America.

People are arguing against points I'm not making;

  • I never argued that Black Men have it worst
  • Nor did I argue Black Women have it easy

Now, what exactly did I say to deserve the ire of the reader?

Like I said; people stopped at "Black Women Don't Have" and totally ignored "It The Worst."

You can have it bad and still not have it the absolute worst.

:dwillhuh:Why have I had to explain that through 10 posts in one thread, now?

Again, no one comes with any proof. Yes, you can link me to horrible atrocities committed against black women. They have my compassion.

But, I can do the same for white males.

That said; bad things happening to black women does not mean (alone) they have it the worst.

It's not sound logic.

You have to explain why their (very real) pain falls in front of EVERY OTHER GROUP IN AMERICA.

And no ones don't that. What statistics and studies are ya'll citing?

What's happening is appeals to emotions.

Again, I have never posted that black women have it easy, nor do I believe black men have it worst.

Don't assume what I might mean, when I'm being clear; black women aren't at "#1" and "#2" in support and targeting, respectively, in America.

Srly, I might have them at #5, #8. That doesn't mean I think they have it easy.
All we want to know is who you would peg above black women, maybe if I had the information I could agree or disagree then state why or why not but if you want evidence:

We already talked about Renisha Mcbride but there was also another young black woman (I forget her name) that was unarmed and shot by a cop because she had a cellphone in her hand.

You have multiple stories of young black girls and black women getting beat for suspicions of being prostitutes. We just recently had a black woman being severely beat by a cop on the side of the road.

Let's not forget Marissa Alexander (who has since had her case overturned) who got jail time for using "stand your ground" and Zimmerman got off on that same defense.

These are a couple of things I can think of off the top of my head but I can also show stats I saw in my Psych of Race and Ethnicity class where it shows black women get longer sentences than white women.

Ya'll said black women had it the worst. It doesn't matter who I picked. Whenever information ya'll have should support having worst then them.

The worst...

This is my only issues..."The worst," as in no one goes through as much as women, who are black/African-American.

You listed three names. Black women are comprised of over 20 Million ppl. And stuff like that is not exclusive to black women, nor do they go through that by themselves.

Black men get longer sentences than anyone, but, I'm not usin' that, John Crawford, Mike Brown and Eric Gardner as evidence that black men have it worst than anyone.

Again, I'm not here to say anyone has it easier than anyone else. I don't see black women as having it the absolute worst to where they're the 2nd most targeted and least supported group of people, in this country.

I never said the worst but I do believe black men have it the worst in America while black women have it the second worst. I don't know why you don't want to name who has it worst than black women and explain it. Unlike most people on here ready to prove you wrong, I'm genuinely curious because right now it sounds like you don't have any group in mind. Plus I named those people to show how black women are treated, any black woman could have easily been Renisha, Marissa, or a multitude of black women who are mistreated.

The OP said it and you argee with him.

I've been negged twice and three posters came at me.

I'm trying to figure out how I've gotten zero evidence from the 5 ppl who think I'm in the wrong.

What kind of evidence are you looking for? Employment rate? Jail stats (which I've already given)? If you want to PM me some groups then do that. I haven't negged you or come at you incorrect, I'm trying to have a legit discussion.

Ya'll still haven't explained why black women have it the worst.

Just: "They have it the worst"

or second, I guess...

Black men = worst

black women = 2nd worst

you said you know a handful of other groups who have it worst that those two but you 'won't say' :dead:

Challenge: Gimme whatever ya'll think is sufficient evidence and I'll counter.

" As the number of women incarcerated has increased by 800 percent over the last three decades, women of color have been disproportionately represented. While the number of women incarcerated is relatively low, the racial and ethnic disparities are startling. African American women are three times more likely than white women to be incarcerated, while Hispanic women are 69 percent more likely than white women to be incarcerated."

"Once convicted, black offenders receive longer sentences compared to white offenders. The U.S. Sentencing Commission stated that in the federal system black offenders receive sentences that are 10 percent longer than white offenders for the same crimes. The Sentencing Project reports that African Americans are 21 percent more likely to receive mandatory-minimum sentences than white defendants and are 20 percent more like to be sentenced to prison." (I know it doesn't mention gender but the above basically says the same thing).

"African-American women are the only demographic in the United States whose unemployment rate has not improved over the past year, according to a National Women's Law Center analysis of the latest jobs data." (rest of the article here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/09/05/black-women-employment_n_5773880.html)

Here's another article mentioning the same as the above quote in more detail: http://www.nbcnews.com/feature/in-plain-sight/dying-out-here-u-s-job-gains-leave-black-women-n202376

This is what I have for now, I'll try to find some more in the mean time @Easy-E
