All we want to know is who you would peg above black women, maybe if I had the information I could agree or disagree then state why or why not but if you want evidence:
I'm amazed at how you keep arguing against some point I'm not making.
I DO NOT AGREE WITH THE IDEA EITHER BLACK MEN OR WOMEN HAVE IT WORST OR BETTER THAT EACH OTHER.
Who are you arguing against?
Exactly.
I make a statement and get neg messages and smilies. No actual facts to support black women being the least supported and second most targeted group in America.
People are arguing against points I'm not making;
- I never argued that Black Men have it worst
- Nor did I argue Black Women have it easy
Now, what exactly did I say to deserve the ire of the reader?
Like I said; people stopped at "Black Women Don't Have" and totally ignored "It The Worst."
You can have it bad and still not have it the absolute worst.
Why have I had to explain that through 10 posts in one thread, now?
Again, no one comes with any proof. Yes, you can link me to horrible atrocities committed against black women. They have my compassion.
But, I can do the same for white males.
That said; bad things happening to black women does not mean (alone) they have it the worst.
It's not sound logic.
You have to explain why their (very real) pain falls in front of EVERY OTHER GROUP IN AMERICA.
And no ones don't that. What statistics and studies are ya'll citing?
What's happening is appeals to emotions.
Again, I have never posted that black women have it easy, nor do I believe black men have it worst.
Don't assume what I might mean, when I'm being clear; black women aren't at "#1" and "#2" in support and targeting, respectively, in America.
Srly, I might have them at #5, #8. That doesn't mean I think they have it easy.
We already talked about Renisha Mcbride but there was also another young black woman (I forget her name) that was unarmed and shot by a cop because she had a cellphone in her hand.
You have multiple stories of young black girls and black women getting beat for suspicions of being prostitutes. We just recently had a black woman being severely beat by a cop on the side of the road.
Let's not forget Marissa Alexander (who has since had her case overturned) who got jail time for using "stand your ground" and Zimmerman got off on that same defense.
These are a couple of things I can think of off the top of my head but I can also show stats I saw in my Psych of Race and Ethnicity class where it shows black women get longer sentences than white women.
