Tell me more about these women who choose welfare, not a career not a home but welfare(a few measly dollars ) over a man who is will to take care of HIS CHILDREN AND FAMILY.

What do you and especially educated BW do to ween yourselves off White institutional support? Do you/BW vote for politicians who do keep/expand welfare with no reform? Are BW waiting until well into a relationship and preferably marriage to have kids?

You still talking about welfare huh?
Just take your ass down to the welfare office and apply. Why are you so mad at black women for?? You Should tell you peers to provide financially for their families and Black women won't be on welfare I guarantee it.
And how convenient you didn't answer my question.
If you want to talk about welfare make a thread and stop trying to make an otherwise positive thread on the resilience of Black women about welfare. Like the hell are you even talking about Damon psycho.
You people hate for anything positive to be posted about Black women and Black American women especially.

It aint that easy. The White man knows what he is doing giving Black women welfare at a higher percentage than any other group.

If you want to say Black women are strong, resilient with self-esteem then cool but don't fix your mouth to say you have it the hardest in the world when your other halves are tangibly at a worser position. Same kind of ignorance that gave way to Black feminism.

I'll throw in my two cents.

Im a stats freak, so Im very much into numbers patterns and what to make of them when relevant to something. Blacks have a much higher homicide frequency rate than whites --- a fact everyone on the internet knows if you've visited any message board with white people around, but what gets much less attention relative to its societal problem is that in raw numbers suicides more than DOUBLE that of homicides, and of those suicides whites are twice as likely to commit suicide as an aggregate than blacks.

If we were to look at this pattern in a reductionist way, blacks often express anger towards others, while whites injure within.

Also, from what I can remember about studies Ive read there is a sort of suicide zone where the bulk of them occur in the mountain west areas --- states like Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, and within those borders. This suggests that the isolation that comes with sparsely populated living areas contributes to suicidal tendencies. Makes sense. The composite profile of a suicide candidate is middle aged, white, and single. I think black women who live in the city have greater networks and support systems to tap into when need be. They have kids to keep them engaged and motivated. Plus being women, there isnt a social stigma of hitting up their girlfriend and having a good cry over whatever issues ail them. A support sometimes unavailable to men. We are social beings, and its very important to have someone.

And also suicide begets suicide. If suicide runs in your family or social circle...guess what? It comes tangible, and rational. For blacks suicide isnt really a *thing* like it is for whites.

I could go on, but just a little food for thought to broaden the discussion.

What does coming from a two parents household have to do with expectations?
If anything they have even higher expectation if you are privileged.
In my house hold my mom was expected to support my father not everyone in the hood and all family members by herself.
What the fukk is false self esteem?
You think black women aren't supposed to have self esteem just because non black women don't?
Maybe i used the wrong word. But monique i would say has high self esteem and embraces being big. Then but out being big is good. Then why she always tryna loose weight? How can big and lazy people talk about people who are in shape? They telling themselves that bs. Dont put words in my mouth from now on please.

I was reaching but this really boils down to the fact that you can't receive public assistance.:ohhh:

That shyt is really sad bruh. How you gone get mad at black women for not giving up their stamps and you met her in the welfare line?:lolbron:

No but all jokes aside you a damn fool if you believe Black women receive more food stamps than any other group.:usure:

Wyd does feminism have to do with anything I've posted in this thread?

You need to stop beefing with femininity and get some masculinity in the Black American community.
Because without the femininity what's left?

And no black woman said that Theraflu did and he CLEARLY SAID we are the SECOND MOST targeted group. You really having a struggle war in this mfs?:beli::what:

No BM and BW have the exact same struggle but many of you don't realize it.

Wyd does feminism have to do with anything I've posted in this thread?

Its a huge reason why BW identify with their oppressors over their opposite halves.

I NEVER PUT WORDS IN YOUR MOUTH! I ASKED YOU A QUESTION.
what are you talking about the "hood"? I'm talking about close friends and immediate family members.
You're trying to make this a class issue when this is more of a cultural/racial thing.
So you and your sibling didn't look to you mom for support only your father?

Once again, what does welfare have to do with this thread?
He clearly stated that black men have the lowest of all men. But you bypassed that because you couldn't pass up an opportunity to talk shyt about Black American women.

And as much shyt as y'all talk about Black women on this forum who really is in bed with enemy?
Make another thread man. This isn't the thread for your misogyny.

@kayslay

I say black women aren't the least supported, 2nd most targeted group in America and that translates to "they have it easy"?

Dawg, those are some lofty claims for a group accomplishing as much as black women, in America.

They don't have it easy, but, it's not that (keyword) bad.

I'm not even editing any of my post. Ya'll are thinking emotionally.

I don't understand it.

Well I think this poem pretty much says it all brehs:

Still I Rise

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may tread me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.

Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I've got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?

Out of the huts of history's shame
I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain
I rise
I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise.
