This country is oblivious to where we actually rank in the world in major categories like living, medicine, and overall happiness in life.

37th in health care but we pay the most iirc correctly . We work more , live shorter lives than others as a first world nation . We don’t even have a top ten quality of life for the average citizen. We spend more on our military than the next top 7 militaries combined . Yet we can’t have a living wage or universal health care.

. I have zero pride in this country and have never been proud to say I’m an American . Country is a joke and I’ve never felt at home here even though I’m a citizen

You get rushed to the emergency room and get a bill after. You have no idea how much the bill is going to be and you don't know how many bills it will be in total. You may get a bill from the hospital and a separate bill from each doctor that helped you through out the day. You'll also get one from the ambulance company too if they picked you up.

I have family in Montreal Canada (huge haitian population). I have spent time there before. Trust and believe their biggest issue there is the horrible winters

what is astonishing is how fast the standard of living has declined for MANY Americans, I think there was agreement that America would suffer a decline gradually over time while maintaining a still fairly high standard by most reasonable standards like all empires by it seems like we are 20 miles over the limit in decline at this point and it feels without strong shifts and better governance could outright resort to middle income status by the end of this century.

And because of freedumb we get to pay 15 times more than they do for the same medication.

You don’t want to pay now for your own health care but think everyone should pay for others.
