Threads like this is why it’s hard to take some of y’all serious. Vince is a HoF but Melo reaches heights no irony that Vince never did. You’re also wylin if you think Vince was a bigger international star than Melo. The last few years of his career has warped the way people see Melo and it’s sad.

I wouldn’t even say that Breh.
VC was a lot more athletic and a better playmaker and defender, on top of being a premier scorer himself. Melo was a better pure scorer, while VC was the more athletic and well-rounded talent.

Melo has better career on paper but I prefer Vince personally. his impact in Toronto was legendary. put that team on the map. they couldnt have gotten a better player to do so. think if there were an expansion team just starting this year and they got Zion. Neither will be called winners at the end of the day but Vince career was much bigger than winning. He filled an excitement void after MJ.

I wouldn’t even say that Breh. It’s crazy how Melo is being rewritten. Not saying you, but y’all talking about one of the most unguardable offensive weapons ever. Money from everywhere, and an elite rebounder at his position.

I don’t even like where this is going with Melo. Pretty soon y’all gone be asking is Melo better than Michael Redd or Spreewell.

In his prime, top 5 player, top 3 scorer in the league.

Came up in the West and used to give Bron buckets religiously and had a winning record against him prior to Heatles era.

shyt getting crazy outchea

Bron went to a finals with nikkas like boobie, anthony parker and sasha pavlovic though when both was in their primes.

Melos had better coaches and teammates up until I'd say the second half of their careers, then it kinda leveled out.

I think its just the syndrome of

A. Being friends with, and coming up with three generational players, where they look at your friends careers, and almost pick apart your game to find things wrong with it. Jordan and nem never really got close outside of their respective teams. CP3 was starting to get them washed talks too, the last LAC years.

Periods of not being successful, or as frequent as your counterparts. His Olympic runs was great too just like hoodie melo but alotta fans were like, when is it gonna translate back into the league and it didnt.

I fuk with melo though, he still got time to change it around but i dont see the hunger no more. I still got my denver blue 15 and my denver rockets throwback

Melo may have the accolades, but there's a reason why one is still playing and one is basically blackballed as of right now.

Ill go further on this...he inspired a country to put all an NBA squad in the olympics and possible medal (2020)
That’s an indictment on Canada, Melo would have had a similar impact.

vince only made it to ECF once when he was a role player in orlando, the series where celtics took care of them pretty easily
What round was it when Wade stole the ball from him on the last second shot attempt to seal the win and the playoff series? It was when Shaq was still in Miami with Wade

. He also gave the Lakers work in the ‘09 Western Conference Finals
Nah don't come with that revisionist history. Outside of him being dominant in game one and being decent in game 2. Melo was awful for the rest of the series. I don't see how anyone can bring up his performance against the Lakers in 09 to prop him up.

He looked like the next Jordan that year even more than Kobe.

Vince Carter in 99 was a phenomenon.
No doubt. These cats dont realize how big Vinsanity was. He was the sole reason NBC started showing raptors games. Only 2 guys came into the league right away and balled out more than VC and they are 97 Duncan and MVP Rose
