Objectively speaking Lupe by a landslide, but experiencing the lead up to Canibus debut in real time was something crazy, the anticipation was huge. But boy when that album came out it was a different story lol

You are definitely missing out if you haven't heard Lupe's Tetsuo & Youth and Drogas WAVE. Those are on some Food & Liqour and The Cool level. True return to form. Personally, I like them better than the first 2.

Lupe has a tremendous talent, but his music lacks if we are trying to force him into GOAT territory.

At best, 2 classics, and that is using the term classic as loosely as possible.
No all time classic singles
No classic verses all heads no by heart. no classic guest appearances.

Food and Liquor and The Cool are GOAT contending albums. Both are in my top 30 albums.

Kick Push, Daydreaming, Superstar, Show goes on. All pretty big singles.

I disagree wholeheartedly that any Lupe album is held in the same regard as Illmatic, Paid in Full, The Chronic etc. Post your top 30.

Canibus but thats cause I never rly got into Lupe like that outside of a few songs. Yeah hes very skilled but it's just something about his music that makes it not interesting to me and I'm not sure why.
