Objectively speaking Lupe by a landslide, but experiencing the lead up to Canibus debut in real time was something crazy, the anticipation was huge. But boy when that album came out it was a different story lol. I still enjoy hearing Canibus on the odd Kurupt or Ras Kass feature here and there but his whole career has been a series of disappointments. Stopped really checking for Lupe sometime between The Cool and Lasers but putting their first 2 albums against each other Lupe wins based off conceptuality alone. Plus beat selection make it not close as well.

You are definitely missing out if you haven't heard Lupe's Tetsuo & Youth and Drogas WAVE. Those are on some Food & Liqour and The Cool level. True return to form. Personally, I like them better than the first 2.

Lupe. There isn't one project in Canibus' discography that would lead me to think otherwise and this is coming from someone who was a fan. It would be crazy to hear them both on a track though

canibus is not even better than Lupe in that, just cause he is saying 10 syllable word in his sentence dont mean anything. In terms of similes, internal rhyme, multis, content, storytelling , metaphors Lupe beats him in all of that.

Its close. I def aint mad if youd roll with Lupe in that catagory too. But Canibus was nasty
