I disagree wholeheartedly that any Lupe album is held in the same regard as Illmatic, Paid in Full, The Chronic etc. Post your top 30.

which of those four songs is an all time classic single? The criteria isn’t whether the single was pretty big.

name his classic verse that every head can recite word for word. Not the good or great ones, I know he has those. The classic ones.

touch the Sky is not a classic guest appearance.

Not as high regaurd as those classics no. Its levels to classics though. Its in the same level of classic as say Commons BE. Id have to put alot of thought into a top 30 list. Im not backtracking but let me put it like this. If Im naming albums thats to be considered for a top 30 list both food and liquor and the cool would be there.

Kick push is a classic for sure.

You got me there. Though to be honest there are few verses I can recite word for word. But no he doest have a verse like Reakwon on C.R.E.A.M or Prodigy on Shook ones. I'll give you that.

I dont see how you could say thats not a classic guest verse. Its the verse that made people pay attention. Kinda like DMX on money power respect. Thats def a classic impactfull verse.

Canibus was a gifted but one-dimensional emcee. Other than this thread, I can’t remember the last time I said to myself, hey, I’m gunna listen to Canibus. He reminds me of Eminem in that sense.

Lupe is much more. His body of work speaks for itself.

Except for Lasers. :unimpressed:

Yep, he wrote the A+ verse on that track as well.

I remember thinking "A+ is SPITTING for a kid"

But Bis verse on Beast from the east is disgusting even today. I don't believe he should've been able to do that. The combination of lyrics, multis, flow, punchlines, bravado, and intellect... it may very well be the greatest verse of all time :wow:

Feel like it’s easy for me to say Lupe based on albums alone and versatility, but there are zero Lupe songs that have hit me like Poet Laureate II and Bis vs Rip. Peak Canibus was otherworldly.
