Breh...I would of said Spike too but after the 25th Hour the only good movie he has made was Inside Man. Early Spike though would easily be here.

I was just watching Clockers last night and :wow:

My favorite of his.

He did more piff prior to that than every other director besides Scorsese and Hitchcock tho. He's still in my top 3, with the other two I mentioned.

I like Bamboozled. That's 1 of my favorite Spike Lee joints. Inside Man was great and I like Miracle at St. Anna --- it just should've been trimmed down a bit.

I'm not sure there's a director I'd consider to be my "favorite". So many people have their ups and their downs. The guys tend to be more hit than miss also tend not have much variety in terms of what films they make.

I still ain't seen Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight.

Both are good but incredibly overrated. I tend to like Hateful Eight more than Django Unchained.

If I'm being 100% honest with myself what bugs me the most about Django Unchained is the way white folks reacted to the movie. Why folks talk about that movie like it's an actual historical account of things that happened and were praising the movie for it's gritty realism.

I see what you saying.

Giving that it's a Tarantino film, I already know what to except and given that's a time period movie dating back to the 1800s along with being a Spaghetti Western.

Tarantino is known for his excessive use of gore in his films and dialogue but it's a shame that white people reacted that way to the movie.

I bet the white people who did react that way to the movie were cacs who never paid attention in History class and have never bothered to read a book and or watch a documentary on that specific time in history.
