Jags - They got nothing at QB right now, new GM and coach time for a new QB.

Jets?
Chiefs?
Jags?

Don't really see Alex as much of an upgrade over Henne or Kolb, so wouldn't think the Jags or Cardinals would get him. I think the Jets go for a cheaper option like Flynn when/if he gets released since Sanchez is owed a lot. That would really only leave the Chiefs

Don't need him here in Jax. Our recievers won't blossom w/him at QB. I'd rather ride out Henne for one more season

Your worrying about WR's blossoming and you're willing to go with Chad Henne.

I think some folks need to notice not everyone gets a franchise QB.

There's only 5-10 very good QB's. There's 32 teams, do the math.

henne is a better fit for jags, at least for developing WRs like blacmon

I think Alex is a best fit in NYJ or KC honestly.

I just think Henne is a lost cause really.
he wont make a difference on those two teams. well, chiefs just need glue and decent coaching, so maybe with right combo of staff and players buying in it can work

I just see him losing his job again if he goes to one of those sorry teams. so if hes gotta be a backup might as well stay in san fran

Obviously you don't actually watch games, just repeat what E!spn tells you.

Alex yard per attempt were top 5 in the league this season while being a 70% passer.

He's a much better option than what a lot of teams have right now.

:aicmon: He didn't even play half this seasons games. His YPA was only high due to good dumpoffs to Gore.

Larry would hate to play with Alex, he would never get the ball. Alex can't find his WRs on the outside, he relies on the TE and running back checkdowns too much. Ask Mike Crabtree.

If he can't find recievers with the BEST offensive line in the leauge, how would he be successful in Arizona with the WORST one?

I'd easily say Jets or Chiefs.

Alex Smith isn't a top half of the league QB probably but he does protect the ball and with the Jets he's perfect, slow moving, short pass type game mixed in with some mid range, runs, etc. Let the D control the score, Alex Smith and the Off, the clock.

Chiefs I think is a great fit cus they have talent on offense already, that's a young talented team and now with Andy Reid at HC he'd be perfect to perhaps help Alex get a bit better at passing beyond 10 yards.

Henne isn't a franchise QB and neither is Smith but i'll take a QB who at least pushes the ball down the field more than what we've seen out of Smith.

it won't matter anyway, we need defense more than anything :manny:

thats not true at all.
under harbaugh we like never check down/dump off to Gore. 45 receptions over last 2 years is nothing compared to what it used to be and how most RBs are used in the passing game.

I agree that hes pretty bad at passing dowfield , but you dont have to contrive a false claim, pretending you watched our team, in order to justify your point

0 pct chance he's a Chief next year. You guys can stop predicting that. They're drafting a QB.

A game manger is what you need when you have all time great defense and a great running game (Baltimore 2000), the 49ers needed more than a game manger to make to the Super Bowl, at the end of the day game managers are great backups but not starting QBs of championship teams

Championship Teams?!?

Look at the teams we're talking about him going to, and ask yourself if any of those teams are championship teams...

We're not here talking about Alex Smith being the missing piece from a contender for fukks sake. We're talking about Alex Smith going to a team and stabilizing the QB position for the next 2-3 seasons.
You're out of your mind if you don't think A qb who doesn't turn the ball over, makes the correct throws, and doesn't put you in bad situations is a bad thing for any of these teams. These teams have multiple issues, but getting above average qb play should be at the top of their list...not drafting somebody from this class (especially this class) and hoping for the best.

Chiefs.

Good running game, talented receivers, Solid D. Just need a QB who isn't awful.
