Kendrick Nunn was the best player on the team that just won the Euroleague. If he signed with the Pistons today, who’ve been the worst team in the NBA for the last 3-4 years, can you even confidently say he would crack their rotation?

This is not the equivalent to Miss Texas declaring herself Miss Universe after winning Miss America. It’s the equivalent to the girl who finished 18th in the Miss Wyoming competition moving to Greece and winning Miss Greece, then the Greeks telling Miss USA she can’t call herself the best pageant winner until she beats her

Please look at the rosters on those teams and tell me with a straight face that the Celtics would lose to any of those teams.

Do you think the French football team fears Mongolia? Of course not. But if they're in the same tournament to determine who's the best in the world, they will beat the shyt out of them and get a trophy to prove it. That's how competition works.

Mongolia is just an example. Saudi was in the same world cup group as Argentina and beat them. Argentina won the whole thing. But that doesn't mean Saudi was dog shyt. South Sudan almost beat the US, but if we looked at both teams on paper, the US should've beat the brakes off them.

As good as any team is, another team could have its day.

We already have the FIBA world cup, Germany are the Champs. I want to see basketball clubs from everywhere play the NBA's best. I mean even the NBA's best don't want to play each other with load management and DNPs for seemingly dumb reasons. The game is becoming boring, imo.

It would be similar to the Football Association Cup in England. We all know a big club will win but it's a great way to scout talent and play role players/rookies

If it's well organized, it'd be great. The best records from each league play in an in season tournament. Prize money helps struggling teams, too. We could probably reduce the 82 game season and still manage to get players rested for playoffs.
