If you guys can suggest a club or franchise team that could beat any nba champion ever in history, feel free. If Man City called themselves world champions, are they bs if they never beat LA FC?

Manchester City will never call themselves world champions for winning the Premier League or Champions League.

His argument isn't about whether the NBA champion is the best team in the World.

Its all fun and trolling but the NBA is the most elite basketball competition there is, it is the premier league of football. The best players and the best teams are in the NBA and it is close, the NBA champion is the best team in the world in basketball

The Best player in Football/ Soccer doesn't play in the Premier League though:patrice:

This isn‘t a wild take to anyone not from the US. Winning a national tournament doesn’t make a “world champion” by any means.

As a fan of the sport, I would love to see a Club World Cup style tournament for basketball. The final would always end up being NBA vs Euroleague but it would still be entertaining to watch.

It would only be entertaining if blowouts are your preference :heh:

If NBA teams took it seriously the European teams would get dusted something vicious. There is an insane talent gap

Sasha Vezenkov was the Euroleague MVP last season and just got signed by the Kings to be an 8th or 9th man

Yes because you can only earn that title by winning a worldwide or international competition (which man city did btw by winning the club world cup)
otherwise Man city's title in your analogy would be nothing more than self proclamation.

Nba champs and other American sports champ can self ordain themselves as world champs all they want, they just look arrogant, ignorant and foolish to the rest of the world

I think they’d win but dusted might be a bit much nowadays

It’s really not.

We’re not talking about the national teams.

Nuggets vs. Real Madrid matchups

Jamal Murray vs. Nigel Williams-Goss
KCP vs. Dzanan Musa
Michael Porter vs. Adam Hanga
Aaron Gordon vs. Mario Hezonja
Nikola Jokic vs. Edy Tavares

C’mon man.

Well, we don’t give a shyt :heh:. If you’re the champion of by far the best league in your sport, you’re the world champion. The indian cricket champion is the world champion. If there was any case to the different you’d pull up in fiba or olympics, but when we actually try you all get washed. Like mentioned, its funny because nba apparel says nba champion, so we just rightfully ordain them as world champions.

Euros and others really thought they had something here…

Of course them but I was thinking more of an international team with multiple nba players on it

Point is the gap isn’t as wide as it once was. Still wide yes, but no where near as much.

Losing by 20 vs 40 :pachaha:
