This ain’t nothing but a witch hunt because EVERY SINGLE YEAR after the World Series a group of people always point out that the MLB World Series champs don’t actually play against the world. And that line of thinking is for some reason acceptable in baseball.
Why folks don’t jump those people when they say that but y’all all over this guy when he says it for the NBA Finals champ.

This isn‘t a wild take to anyone not from the US. Winning a national tournament doesn’t make a “world champion” by any means.
As a fan of the sport, I would love to see a Club World Cup style tournament for basketball. The final would always end up being NBA vs Euroleague but it would still be entertaining to watch.
