So you support the idea that some people just don't matter?
Some people's opinions don't, yes.

You continue to use arguments that were used to justify slavery, disenfranchisement, serfdom, and oppression in general. I'm concerned about your reactionary world view breh.
Because slavery isn't the same as disenfranchisement (via the government letting people vote), serfdom which doesn't exist, and oppression which is not the case in a corporate environment for many people.

I want people to have a say in thier lives. I think virtually every worker would support a vote in matters as important to them as thier company's action.
They have a say. They can push for better working terms or seek to find a better job, or start their own term

But if you're low skilled or have low value by way of education or your own assets, no one is automatically going to make life as comfortable as possible for you

For the 5th time now, it's democracy, not tyranny
Democracy doesn't extend to private companies.

Im probably on the far right of the left wing scale after reading this thread but... I think the idea that markets can be any "freer" is laughable. In what way can markets be freer? What specific restrictions are holding back markets from providing a preferable living arrangement for Americans as a whole? In specific, I'd like to hear of a regulation that is stopping the greater good from unfolding in society.

Specifics @DEAD7 @AJaRuleStan

Zoning laws: create artificially high housing cost(see California)
Min wage: The higher the min wage, the harder it is for those at the bottom to build human capital.
Labor laws: Age of employment, hours employees can work and how its structured by the state, holds us back.
Barriers to entry: Licensure, fees, etc... Did you know little girls need a license to sell lemonade:mindblown:

I could go on, but i'm sure you get the picture.

Let me say this as clearly as possible.

For as long as I continue to live in the USA, I value USA worker rights over anyone else. I care about the home-front more than anyone else.

So, that being said, I want those jobs to come back to the USA.

HOWEVER, until they do, what incentive do those companies have to come back to the USA and how much should they be forced to comply?
you are only confusing yourself, your simple mindedness will not waste my time

You don't have to shop there though, right?

And whats your thoughts on the low-price stores opening up in 2016?

I kinda have no choice. I pretty much only eat organic and most of my diet consists of fresh fresh and produce. And their food IS high quality and relatively cheaper than the organic vendor at the local farmer's market.

Whole Foods growth has been sluggish for years; it's obvious that they've maxed out their market and potential earnings. They've been using many underhanded tactics to boost revenue for years now. And so, them opening a Trader Joe's- light isn't at all surprising. But I doubt I'll be shopping there.

At least to me, low-price = shortcuts, lower quality.

Democracy doesn't extend to private companies.

Again, why can't people have a direct say in how the most important institution in thier lives operates?

It's not about making everyone's life easier, it's about basic justice.

Because not everyone has the skill, education, or vested interest (often proven via being a valuable employee or working in a space that introduces creative solutions) to have that much say in an organization.

I don't see you can argue in good faith that someone who contributes to the whole deserves no say in its function
