Who would you say has the highest ceiling between: Montez Ford, Ricky Starks, & Carmelo Hayes?

Ricky isn’t in WWE, that’s his main problem

To be a big crossover star you need that platform. It’s not happening anywhere else to that degree. That’s the cold truth. He can win every title over there and it won’t raise his status much higher. Tez snd Melo have a head start essentially because of where they work

Ricky cause he has S tier charisma which can't be taught. All those other guys are B players at best. Ricky will get tickets moving.

Starks is the most ready
Don't know Carmelo but the ceiling for NXT stars isn't really high
Montez has a longer road since he's still in a tag team

SN: Never knew you guys were such size kings :skip:

This is a really hard call because all of them are multifaceted talents who all could be faces of their respective companies.

That said, I lean towards Montez Ford ever so slightly. Just has that little bit extra IMO. Hardly anything between the 3 though.

Montez.

Size and physique.

Can work on the microphone and has all of the right character "intangibles" that lets you know he respects and studies the business.

Military background and great family story so he's easy to root for while working babyface. The polish on any doc they make about him is going to be immaculate if they haven't already done one

Finisher that will always be over and highlight-worthy. Perfect for big moments (imagine a cash-in or a big title win ending with that frog splash)

Came up as a WWE original, was over in NXT, so any crowd will rock with him.

My kid even has his action figure. :manny:

Starks is a close second, but he just few more chapters to write than Tez at the moment. Has the same intangibles and is great on the mic so his time WILL come.

No one said anything about highest potential to be a crossover star. This is wrestling, not Hollywood.

As others have stated, Tez because he has the height, the size, and the look.

Man it is Trick Williams and the edris ...all three of these dudes you guys listed ain't it..starks is aew good, carmelo is trash and uncomfortable on the mic and ford needs to be less cartoonish in his ring moves and mannerisms

If we talking crossover star, none of them.

Crossover stars in wrestling history? You can count the amount of those we've seen on two hands. Hogan, Rock, Cena, Chris Jericho, Andre The Giant, Batista, Stone Cold. I'll even throw him a bone and put Randy Savage on the list even though the biggest thing he is known for outside of the ring is Slim Jim commercials.

Frankly, I consider it pretty liberal usage of the term "crossover star" by putting anyone but Andre the Giant, Hogan, Rock, and Cena on that list.

Wrestling crossover stars are like legitimate once in a generations type people.
