If somebody let your brother die and said “well I had a deep bond with that goldfish,” how would you react?

I mean...my brother's life is his own...

And it's MY Brother...I should be the one obligated to save him...not some stranger....

I would be mad at myself...and I'll get over it eventually...

I ain't gonna be mad at a random person..

A lot of kids I grew up would proudly scream they'd save their animal over a living breathing human not realizing that's how a sociopath thinks but on a microscopic level.

The best way to gauge this is would you save someone else's pet over a human being? The answer is surely no. So what's different here is that it is YOUR animal. You've ascribed a higher importance to it which circumvents the pecking order you naturally carry. Which means the only difference is your own feelings over a living breathing person.

Which is obviously fukked up.

hard question to answer

I never knew how much of a strong emotional bond i had to my dog until the day i thought i lost him. Heart damn near sank to my stomach
lost my pug a few years ago and I cried like a bytch and was depressed for a long time. I still have her toys :mjlol:

I still have some of her fur so I'm gonna clone her and bring her back when it's financially feasible :smugdraper:

You really don't wanna go down this road breh

I could easily ask you who would you save, YOUR spouse/child/family member or someone else's?

Reality is subjective, I can value my pet over someone else's without being a narcissist
