Barnes is more capable, that mid-post game is going to be what separates him from a lot of other players.

Green is inconsistent because so much of what he does is reliant on whether or not he's hitting the 3 that game or not. If he's hitting the 3 then everything opens up for him, if he's not then you're looking at a pretty shytty offensive player.
In all fairness, you aren't taking into account their roles and current personnel.

Right now, that's basically all he has. He struggles creating for himself outside of that and dribble-situations in the halfcourt.

I think you're putting too much emphasis on that. Granted he's inconsistent, but he can create from pretty much every single situation in the halfcourt. Like @#1 pick said previously, there isn't much offensive rhythm and structure to that Bobcats offense and Kemba suffers from sticky hands too. There's no way that Barnes is putting up 20PPG on that team, just not happening.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?

And he's realized that and put a premium on posting people up, and it's working in the half-court, he's only going to improve at that.

Replace MKG with Barnes and most of Sessions/McRoberts touches go out the window, same with Henderson. I don't think Barnes gets the credit he deserves, he may not have lived up to being the number 1 player in his class, but could be a 20ppg scorer on a bad team like the Cats :manny: We will have to agree to disagree. I didn't say he'd do it efficiently.

No doubt, I don't see why he CAN'T develop into a 20+ PPG scorer in the future, I just don't see him doing it right now at this current stage of his career + with the state of the Bobcats offense.

Replace MKG with Barnes and most of Sessions/McRoberts touches go out the window, same with Henderson.

I can't see Sessions touches going down, since he comes off the bench and takes over from Kemba and neither McRoberts since the 'majority' of his shots are from the three to stretch the floor and the fact that he plays a facilitator role too. Henderson's #s I can see taking a hit, but not enough that puts Barnes into that 20PPG bracket.

Curry - 17.5 attempts per game
Thompson - 16.0 attempts per game
Lee - 13.1 attempts per game

Barnes - 10.7 attempts per game

Kemba - 15.9 attempts per game
Jefferson - 13.9 attempts per game
Henderson - 13.2 attempts per game

Barnes - 12.7-13.2 attempts per game

I'd say the most he'd average on that team would be another 2-3 shots, at a less efficient FG% - for argument sake, somewhere between 5.7 and 6.0 made FGs a game (44% - 47%) - levelling out with 3pointers and free throws made = 15.5-16 PPG (max points return). The biggest problem I see with their offense is that Kemba and McRoberts are left to basically run the team and I mean players are never gonna get the appropriate touches (certainly not touches in the right spots) with those two running the show.

Jackson's offensive system gets the most out of Barnes, whereas I don't think Clifford would use Barnes to the best of his abilities.

I don't think Barnes gets the credit he deserves, he may not have lived up to being the number 1 player in his class, but could be a 20ppg scorer on a bad team like the Cats :manny: We will have to agree to disagree. I didn't say he'd do it efficiently.

To a certain degree, I agree he doesn't get enough credit, however I gotta see him in a key position on a team before I start lauding him like he's the Second Coming. I feel just because a player may project like he can put up BIG numbers while being in a complimentary role, doesn't mean they will do in a more prominent role - while being in a less effective offensive system.

Yes, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
