Defenses would be able to focus on him though because Charlotte has no other shooters on their squad. MKG is going to be way more successful on a squad that really spaces the floor (opening up driving lanes). Not saying he wouldn't be successful there as well, but I think it would be more difficult. Barnes is way better than I expected. His post game is looking NICE. MKG needs to work in the post more once he gets healthy. MKG should be a scottie pippen, "do it all" type. I definitely expected him to at least be a better rebounder/passer by now. I hope things come together for him because he's a tireless worker and a great kid.
Are you saying defenses don't focus on him now?

they're definitely not going to double team him or throw another defender at him, not with Klay and Steph just waiting at the 3 point line. Plus teams put their best defender on steph/klay and not barnes
That's true but still you have to look at how he gets his points. If all his points came from open shots you would have a point but he take people off the dribble and post up for a lot of his points. He's now a good 3 point shooter also. He's the total package almost except for the handles. I don't see what MKG has done in the NBA to make you think he's better than Barnes.

Mkg isn't better. Dribble driving is a lot easier when you have the lane wide open because your team has the deadliest 3pt shooters in the game. The situation in goldenstate is perfect for him to flourish, not to mention mark jackson is a good coach

It's easy to say he's thriving because he's surrounded by shooters on both wings. Dude does his thing when Steph and Klay are on the bench.

Barnes on the Bobcats this year would be a 20ppg scorer, probably pull down 5-7rpg as well.
The Cats have poor ball movement, there is no one that would take the pressure to create offense off of someone like Barnes, the defenses can zone easier and he isn't that good at creating his own offense as it is. I will always say because someone is in a much better position for their talents doesn't make them better than the next guy. As prospects, there really was a gap where MKG was slightly better. Now the gap is that Barnes is playing at a level where he can be seen as a future AS and while MKG is a great defensive player, his offense isn't there since he can't create is own offense. Barnes is in the perfect situation and MKG isn't even in a decent one but he is making the most out of nothing.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

So if MKG played for the Warriors how would he score?

Easy answer:
Fast breaks, off ball movement, alley opps, defensive steals that turn into layups. This would happen much more next to Klay, Steph, David, and Andrew than next to Kemba, Gerald, Josh, and Bismack.

As for points, that is far too general and with the addition of Iggy this year, I wouldn't really be able to answer for you.

He actually is creating his own offense, I don't know what you been watching but Barnes has been killing people from the mid post.

So he would be Tony Allen here.
