Tony was a miserable dude.

Anybody that experienced any form of happiness, he tried his best to sabotage it.

Biggest example was his relationship with Chris. Always undermining Chris and ridiculing his sobriety.

The most telling scene was in Season 5 when Tony, Janice, Bobby and Bobby's kids were all at the dinner table. Janice was talking earlier in the episode about how good she felt and relaxed. At the dinner table,Tony was just staring at her, bewildered and then full of contempt. He resented her peace of mind. Then he brought up her son, which he knew would set Janice off, and it did. Totally uncalled for. Just an a**hole.

Janice did all types of rotten shyt. She's far from a victim.

True. She and Tony gave it back and forth to each other.

Specifically that day though, and that entire episode. She was getting therapy trying to improve and it was working. Tony just pulled that stunt because he hated her brief moment of happiness that day.

Tony treated everyone who really loved him like shyt. That's why if he really got clipped in the finale I hate that Chase justifies not showing it onscreen. On repeated watches the hero aspect of Tony wears off immensely. He was as equally if not more of a scumbag than Ralphie.
Only people he treated well in the entire show were his kids. And Syl I suppose

Richie resented Tony being boss. He probably figured had he not been in the joint it would be him running things. Tony was right to lay low and let Silvio & Paulie be the point men. Richie was a habitual line stepper but Junior enabled him too, once Junior saw that Richie couldn't get the capos on his side he threw him under the bus.

I forgot how rotten Junior was. Tony was really on Vulture Island. :sadcam:

Breh i can't stomach those types of people. If i can't be happy you can't be happy. Can't stomach to see people relaxed, happy and doing well. Even their own family.

Junior was presenting a masterclass to Bobby bacala about how Richie was a bum in the eyes of others

"fukk you staring at :what: "

"I'm in awe of you :ohhh: "

"Pay attention you might just learn something :manny: "

Came to post this......

Chrissy is the easy answer here, this thread is crazy make you think on how many nikkas wanted Tony head at one point or another...
It's amazing how delusional Tony was.

He had all these people who hated his guts....then he Curb stomps a made man..

Then assassinated a NY boss in front of his wife and grand babies

And still thinks NYC would give him a pass?

Junior really was a wise, slick, dirty, calculated old b*stard.:wow:

Some of my favorite scenes with Junior are in the looney house. It took him about a week to get his illegal gambling racket running. A crook will always be a crook. It was also good to see how Junior operates outside of his blood family and how charming and manipulative he can be.
