The 90s and 2000s were when Juvenile, E 40 around and Puff Daddy charted regularly. This comment doesn't make sense
I'm talking about if Ross got exposed for being a CO, Drake suing over a diss/having ghostwriters/being a pedo suspect, & Cardi being considered a top star & having ghostwriters, happened back in the day they would've got Ja Ruled too. That's why I say it's a different time & audience.

Like how Dr Dre dated Michel'le when she was 16 and he was in his 20's, used to beat her ass, publicly beat up dee Barnes but everyone still loved him because he made dope beats?

Back in the 90s when it was okay for Prince to adopt a child and raise her to be his wife?

I take it you were born in or around the G.W. Bush era.

Ja put his head down and kept working, even as it stopped being nearly as effective.
but he barked back AND stayed on what got him to the dance.

Drake's responses have been... social media, bad music and calling the feds.

the me of 20 years ago owes Jeffery an apology :francis:

I don't think Drake or Ja embarrassed themselves DURING the beef. There was just literally nothing Ja could do,and he was getting clowned during the beef regardless of what his responses were. Just because he was going against 50 and Eminem. And the public was just done with the Ja era.

Drake had a fair shake, and mostly handled himself well during the beef. It got ugly for him with Not Like Us though. But it's been his actions after the beef that's really burying him

Although that Ja Rule music was cringe to me, I've always hated how hip-hop just basically kicked him out the game. But this Drake shyt, anywhere I've ever been, if the discussion lands anywhere near someone bringing that dude up we all make this face :scust:or :hhh: because hip-hop should've never allowed that whole "Drake Reign" to happen. This dude turned into a whole Jewish man because of a rap battle. It was all good when "the system" propped him up with all the weird shenanigans to make sure he's no.1 Then when he gets murdered on wax and his opponent is from the same system, he cries foul. His lawsuit is akin to calling the police because there's some strange lil black guy , I invited, in my backyard and he's eating all my food and I don't know what to do.

What exactly did Ja do that was corny? Looking back, he barely said much and then he dropped “Blood in my Eye” that was better than every album 50 album after “The Massacre”. People hated on Ja for no reason imo.
That’s a bold faced lie :mjtf:

BIME was terrible and I was a huge Ja fan back then. VVV, Rule 336, PIL, Last Temptation are all classic or near classic to me, But BIME was a terrible album :hhh:

50 ain’t ever made an album or mixtape for that matter anywhere near as bad :hhh:

Bro what, Ja Rules whole career plummeted from this beef, it was def national not regional
In all fairness Ja was already somewhat falling off around this time. Last Temptation wasn’t popular like that and it came out months before GRODT, before 50 was even major like that :ehh:
I voted ja but I think that was before these jew ass lawsuits came about :mjlol:

Ja still made music that ppl fw (never me tho, nikka was always whack to me), while drake is in desperate need of a hit. Funny thing is, by Massacre, 50 was doing the same shyt he hated on Ja for, singing on hooks, more R&B, etc.
I don’t understand this take, 50 been singing on records since GRODT, actually before :dwillhuh:

He sang damn near half the books on GRODT including Back Down :dwillhuh:

Patiently Waiting
Many Men
High All The Time
If I Cant
Back Down
Po Lil Rich

Ja even called this out at the time and said “you do the same shyt, it’s just I sing for the women you sing for the men”

OAN that’s wild how Ja named his next album after GRODT after a line in “Many Men” :dwillhuh:

Ja was getting dissed everywhere and it legit was a real 20 v 1. But to his credit he did stand 10 toes down.

I will always say that his “Loose Change” diss track was his Scarface going out in a blaze of glory. I will always respect that looking back in hindsight.

Only reason why the beef stopped was cuz the feds raided Murder Inc and it was pretty much a wrap from there.

Ja bounced back because people within the culture still had respect for him. And he still managed to comeback with a few more hit records to have people love him again.

His career wasn’t the same…but he still had love.

Drake on the other hand? It’s a fukking wrap for him. He is going to be remembered in hip-hop for being THE biggest bytch ass nikka in rap history. When we look back at this we gonna be like “Yeah that happened…:russ:

And the wild part is that the story is not over and he is going to continue to make his grave deeper.

Fair...I think it got more formulaic and r&b-ish with Massacre and beyond. I actually like Massacre more than GRODT, personally.

Drake got bodied with the same formula he used on Meek…. The boy couldn’t take it so he bowed out and filed a lawsuit :heh:

Drake falloff will be studied for decades.

This is approaching Ja Rule level career assassination...only real difference is Ja Rule didn't have die hard stans hanging on for dear life.

Lmao. You nikkaz just type anything on the internet. Coincidentally enough the streams been going up despite him beefing with his label and Spotify🤣😂 But go on keep on waiting for the fall off.

People OUTSIDE the internet still streaming Drake.

YOUR opinion: Drake committed Career assassination, his fans Hanging on for dear Life.
