There wasn't anything embarrassing about Ja. Folks just fukked with 50 more than anything else and with 50 run you could have replaced Ja with anyone else in the beef and they would still lose too. Difference is Ja didn't stop dropping heat

straight up, i wasn't with it then but he had some songs that really aged well. New York is legitimately one of the quintessential songs of that era. That beat drops and it still hits for real.

But the revisionism on Ja is a bit funny to see. It wasn’t during social media, if it was he would have been clowned a whole lot worse than remembered.

Y’all forget Ja was a fkn idiot. He thought he had it and involved DMX, Busta Rhymes, Eminem and Dre. He also involved peoples daughters. He thought he had it like and took up the Tupac persona. He was seen a pop artist making pop songs. He was also a pill addict who let it all get to him and was out of his depth.

Now what he didn’t do unlike Drake is be a fkn creep with underage girls or have ghostwriters. Also no race/cultural issues. So Drake is easily worse.

Someone mentioned it but between the pill popping and being gassed up not just by Irv Gotti but also Suge Knight as well, he thought he was invincible and could take on everything with Murder Inc. To his credit though, at least he kept at it and had a couple hits afterwards on R.U.L.E. with "New York" and "Wonderful".

As for the second, he took that too far between the Hot 97 clip and the "Reign" video that had him and Gotti portrayed as 2pac/Suge and Biggie/Puffy
