I agree with you. But that's at a "normal" restaurant. But in fine dining people are going to eat specific food from specific world class chefs, who sometimes will not cater the the customer per se. But the customer goes to the establishment knowing that before handnah bruh never heard of that....thats the quickest way to lose customers, and its not like cooking well done is even hard...you just leave that shyt in there.

I've never knowingly been to a restaurant that would refuse to cook a steak well done but I definitely wouldn't say that it would never happen.no..dude..just know. thats anywhere. Whatever the customer wants food wise they get as long as they are willing to pay. It can be any restaurant, it can even be a fast food place like mcdonalds. I remember one time like 4 years ago I was dropping a friend home and he wanted to stop by mickey d's so we went thru the drive thru. I got me some nuggets and fries. He went up and said word for word "uhhh yeah ummm shyt...leme get a 2 mcChicken's with cheese, pickels, and onions...I want no salt on the fries and a large half lemonade half orange" I literally had the face.
It doesn't matter what restaurant you are at they will do what the customer wants food wise. If you want your steak well done with a slice of cheese on top then they will do it.
“‘Saving for well-done’ is a time-honored tradition dating back to cuisine’s earliest days. … What happens when the chef finds a tough, slightly skanky end-cut of sirloin that’s been pushed repeatedly to the back of the pile? He can throw it out, but that’s a total loss. He can feed it to the family, which is the same as throwing it out. Or he can ‘save for well-done’—serve it to some rube who prefers his meat or fish incinerated into a flavorless, leathery hunk of carbon, who won’t be able to tell if what he’s eating is food or flotsam. Ordinarily, a proud chef would hate this customer, hold him in contempt for destroying his fine food. But not in this case. The dumb b*stard is paying for the privilege of eating his garbage! What’s not to like?” - See more at: Anthony Bourdain on Vegetarians and Saving for Well-Done | Schaefer's Blog
I have found many peoples desire to eat well done steak comes from their belief that the food is not cooked well enough or will make them sick.
In theory, once you sear each side, it kills off the bacteria that would make you sick, because they don't live inside the muscle fibers, but rather in between the natural separation of tendons and cuts. So, the center can be cool and pink, but still quite safe to eat.
This is the reason its dangerous to eat medium hamburgers: when they grind the meat, the bacteria from the outside gets mixed with the muscle fibers and now your entire patty can have bacteria present.
I think most people with reservations, if blind folded, would choose a medium steak if they didn't see the color. It is tender, easy to chew and has a warm enough center to give them a comforting temperature mouth feel.
lol do you even enjoy the food. I feel you breh but I got young kids. I don't feel comfortable taking them to restaurants like that and if I'm going to spend 200 I'd rather grill for the whole family. But I cant front a night out with your ass would be
