LMAO @ it being Orton... that is barely a top 5 Cena rival.

It's clearly Edge to me.. he was the first one to get the title off Cena, and had his number for a long time, including beating him in a Last Man Standing match. He was his first real rival once he got pushed to top guy status and it weaved throughout several years.

Its hard to answer this.

Punk or Edge were my go to reactions.

But Styles can make a case for it now.

Coulda been Orton but they never knew how to book their feud.

Rock is certainly worthy of a mention.

Cena's best match was against CM Punk at MiTB 2011, doesn't necessarily qualify him is being his best rival because that whole storyline was about Punk's contract expiring and Cena was pretty much the guy designated to stop him from leaving with the belt.

I don't remember a single thing about his 8000 feuds with Orton, but this dude has beaten him clean on random ass episodes of RAW so that don't count.

Y'all know I hate Edge, but he made a pretty good rival to Cena.... the backstage brawls, the sex celebration, the customized Rated R belt, Edge getting thrown into the Ocean... all memorable moments.

Idk about TNT, best thing about his feud with Cena was his abrupt character change and his promos about hugging fat girls and kissing babies, but he dropped the title to him in their only major match then quit.

His feud with the Rock was way too high profile to ignore, I mean.... a year long build up to WrestleMania 28 and the promos that happened between it. Plus their WM 28 encounter brought in their highest PPV buys ever, with their 29 match being just below WM23 in buyrates, just with how commercially successful the feud was has to be up there in Cena's top 3 feuds.

Edge. To a lesser extent, they did for each other what Bret/Austin did.

Orton lol, that was one of the most heatless and pushed main event feuds in history. They tried to make it Rock/Austin but that it was not :mjlol:

Orton is his biggest rival. It's not even close.

They have years of history together as they were coming in the game.

You can't compare edge or punk to that.

Is a rivalry really great if there's almost nothing to show for it in 15 years? The only thing they have is familiarity with each other. If you define rivalry as number of matches, then you're absolutely right. But if you look deeper, there's no real chemistry between them, hence the lack of classic matches or moments in their 2 dozen ppv/tv matches.

He and Orton are a WWE-pushed story that never really made any noise or gained any traction.

Realistically they could have dragged Punk/Cena out a few more months and it would have been the best feud they've had since the ruthless aggression era. They had great chemistry and were polar opposites in every imaginable way (which is always good for animosity).

Punk, Edge, or Orton all could make a case for it

If they would've kept Orton and Cena matches to a minimum it'd probably be the definite answer but they have too many fukking matches together

As for Punk and Edge he's done some of his greatest ring work and promo work against them so you gotta have them, probably his best feuds

I've enjoyed his and Brock's rivalry, from when Brock came back in 2012 to Summerslam 2014 :wow:

Watched that Extreme Rules match when Brock came back a little while ago and forgot how good that one was from the promo package to the match

It's hard to say. When you take away the fact that Cena is Cena, he has a nice resume of feuds. I fukked with the Punk, Edge and TNT feuds heavy. The Rock feud was good too even though the second match and feud lost stream. Brick handing him his ass was good too. Low key (in the woeds E of @Ed MOTHERfukkING G ) the AJ Styles saga has been money too.

If I had to choose, it be Edge though. It was the best mix of matches, fukkery and an overall great feud.

Punk is my favorite opponent of his but it wasn't as personal as it should have been. All they needed was more time to build.

This. Orton and Cena may have fought 300 times, but the WWE never ever got the reaction they were looking for until THIS YEAR on a Smackdown episode. Didn't they first start feuding in 07 or something?? That's atrocious :mjlol:
