Pharrell.

Fashionable, has looked about the same age forever, raps, sings, produces, plays multiple instruments, gets love in the hood and the 'burbs across multiple cultures, religious, has made popular music across multiple genres including rock, pop, hip-hop, and R&B, had a soundtrack hit for a popular movie...

He is closest to Prince than any other rapper though. In fact he has even jumped into different genres like Prince.

Ask Daft Punk

Pharrell not really Hip Hop though, he's made the majority of his music in RnB/Pop, added to the fact that Chad Hugo is a big part of what N.E.R.D are all about.

He is a part of hip hop just like any other rapper. You think he isnt because he goes into other genres a lot.

Prince is not really one genre either. More proof that he is hip hops Prince.

honestly...there isnt one.

I dont think there has ever been anyone in hiphop that comes close to the talent of Prince.

He played every instrument on his first 5 albums!!!!

He's as much of a rapper as he is a singer, a producer, writer. I can see your point but Skateboard P is more a modern day mix of guys like Prince, Stevie and MJ to an extent. He isn't strictly Hip Hop in a rapper and writer kinda sense if you catch my drift? I'm guessing from the question OP probably meant someone who could work the boards, DJ, maybe b boy and rap their asses off. I initially wanted to say Big Daddy Kane, but based god wins by default at the sheer size of his catalogue.

To be like Prince you have to be the description that you just said because thats what Prince is: Talented in different genres. :dead:

A lot of Pharrels history has to do with hip hop as well.

Pharrel even raps on:

Mr. Me Too - Clipse (feat. Pharrell)
Drop It Like It's Hot - Snoop Dogg (feat. Pharrell)
Lapdance - N.E.R.D.
Us Placers - CRS
Move that dope-Future ft. Pharrell

C'mon breh, 5 songs aint enough. By your definition Kanye would probably qualify more.
