I can bench over 300 but it’s def not easy weight for me. It’s approaching 1RM #s I guess I’m kinda sorta right on the threshold of being a bytch ass as per OP.

I have an issue with my bench I can 1rm 315...But when I have a spotter my 1rm is 335...On a smith machine I can 1rm 355.

Now my issue is this i use progressive overload for my lifting but I only do 1 power day a week and even with that every other week I use DB work instead of barbell. If I want to increase my 1rm should I concentrate on increasing my power output and doing more 1rm work on my bench or should I just stick with my regular programming.

I’m 5’8 200-205lbs btw.

It's a fact 90% of the cats in the gym benching over 300 are fat fukks with big bellies.

Congrats tho.

Trudat. Only lean-ish brehs I see hitting 300 lbs+ are those that have a sports background like playing safety at some random D-2 program or they were a starter on good high school squad. Basically dudes that are naturally explosive athletes that have spent a lot of time in off-season programs.

Regular dudes that hit those numbers without pharmaceutical help......usually they put on a decent amount of fat to get there. A normal dude with the big numbers is gonna have to neglect something to get there and it's usually cardio. On top of that, to fuel growth and increases in strength, you've gotta eat.
