Just got bumped to 100 percent P/T family :mjcry:

I was riding the light rail here in Charlotte, saw a cute brownskin that I’m 100 percent sure was checking me out and held myself back from hollering(haven’t felt like I personally deserved to date lately because I’m not where I want to be) . She looked back at me one more time before she got off but I just looked away.:francis:

Once the stop pulled away and I got over not speaking to her I ended up checking the app and man, I damn near started shouting.

I got off on the next stop with tears in my eyes, walked to the nearest bench, took a knee and thanked the man above. It’s been a wild, mind boggling, surreal & stressful ride brehs.

I’m thankful, as this is also on the cusp of a new promotion at work and just new opportunities in general for me

I filed for an increase back in August(from 80) and just had a feeling it was coming soon.

Don’t give up brehs, it’s possible. I’ll offer whatever advice I can but don’t be afraid to go for it

Just got my 100% P/T about a hour ago

Just extremely thankful and appreciative! I just closed on a brand new built house a week ago. Now I don’t have to worry about property taxes. Plus this really really gives me breathing room.

I am :blessed:

Congrats bro.

Keep in mind that no bytch is too good for you.

It said P/T? I’ve had 100% for over 5 years I thought it flipped over normally but if there’s a way I could apply for P/T I would take it just so trump or whoever can’t suddenly declare me “healed”. just because I don’t spend half my life in a VA hospital.

the no property taxes is a huge benefit. again did you apply for P/T or did they award it to you I’ll check the app but my shyt just says 100% I remember not wanting 100% for a long time because I was gonna get the no work clause.

I did not apply for P/T. Can you even do that?

I looked at my benefits letter and it specifically said P/T. You can still work on that which is good. Now if your TDIU you can’t work full time

Man everybody keep pushing. If you got real disabilities, you gonna have times where you gonna have to leave a job because they can’t accommodate or you get let go because of your disability . That 100% is a life saver. Under no circumstance should you settle less than 100%. And plz get a rep, if you can’t get it on your own. My dude was relentless and really made it a point to make sure I got it

It’s been affecting my attendance tbh

Sometimes hard to sleep or even stay focused while in consistent pain

I filed my intent to file on dec 30th. Downloaded all my medical records. I had some stuff on there I didn’t know I had.
:ehh:
I think I’m going with a paid service. I was thinking of filing myself but I don’t want to mess up and miss out on money. I want the largest amount possible the first time then I can file to add more later.
That price is causing hesitation though. I can use that money on my rental. Last month my shed burnt down. I got 6700 from insurance but I’ve spent 13k total on the shed. Them 6 racks can get me even.
:francis:
I’m going to sleep on it but I think I’m going the paid route. My pops used them for his claim and he was satisfied.
:patrice:
I’ll keep the Coli updated on my progress and hopefully I see an award letter by June with that fat back pay check.
:jawalrus:
I appreciate yall motivating me. I’m going to miss the Coli come November.
:to:
Don't pay for it. Go see a VSO (Veterans Service Officer) in your county. Their entire job is filing VA claims on veterans' behalf and its free. I used one when I retired last year. One visit. Dropped off all my medical records. Got 100% notification 3 days after my effective retirement date. Never looked back.

Get a VSO.

It should have flipped over. Especially since it’s been 5 years for you, it’s not like they are going to lower it.
