He doesnt get producer features anymore so all of his production is isolated to whatever he does for his albums which is lackluster. Obviously he has ghost producers working in the studio with him because there is a stark difference between a fully Kanye produced beat *otis* and every other track on Watch The Throne. He'll never be in my top 5, but maybe the top 10.

West is turning in to Dre but he still the head of the snake when he does a track.

West writes his own rhymes unlike Dre atleast.

he only has full production credit for like 2 songs on watch the throne...all the other ones hes listed as a co-producer (which means like in a song like HAM, he obviously added that opera chanting stuff at the end)...im not sure what u mean ghost producers?? he gives the people he works with credit

1. Use yr common sense, why would he have ghost producers if his fukking production says who they feature?

2. Of course there is a difference between Otis and the rest of the songs, it's the only track he produced himself on WTT and it doesn't feature anyone cause it's a song based on chopping the fukk out of a song and keeping it very simple.
Does the track even have drums? Compared to everything else on the album with maaad sounds.

Kanye's production will always have a lot of people on them. Cause he uses real instruments nowadays. Jeff Bhasker, Mike Dean and these dudes are not really producing anything. They are co-producing the same way the dude who co-produced all of LR Jon Brion.

I dont have a problem acknowledging that he writes his rhymes but he doesnt do the work in the studio like that. What im saying friends is that his talent as a producer is actually an illusion. If Kanye West could never get another sample cleared his career would be on the verge of finished. That or he'd Diddy/Dre his way through the rest of his career. Hes insulated in the industry now so as long as he obeys his masters he can keep being the head of other peoples work. Hes a great collaborative artist.

Ok but the fact remains he cant do the work himself. I like alot of the production he collaborates on but to call him the GOAT is ridiculous for the simple fact that you need to give his team just as much credit as you give him , probably more since they're the ones actually playing the music.

Lol, a whole hiphop generation would be over if they couldn't clear samples. And we'd all die if the sun blew up. But that ain't happening anytime soon.

and

Begs to differ.

Kanye is growing into more of a producer than a hiphop beat maker.
He assembles different types of musicians, beat makers, expresses his ideas and shyt like that. Instead of just working with his drum machine like back in the days (and Otis).
