The way I’ve always seen the “first option” thing is who can get a bucket in the half court down the stretch. By that criteria you’d be hard pressed to name many guys ahead of Brunson which is why he ranks so high in things like scoring in the isolation play type and scoring gravity.
Brunson would prove himself better in those situations over Ingram. I don't think KAT or AD makes us favorites out the conference or anything and both complicate things with Mitch. The best pairing with Brunson are guys like Luka, LeBron, Giannis which we aren't going to get. Depending on how we gel with Mikal and I think we'd gel really well even with Randle we could be a dominant regular season team and sleeper. NBA is wide open right now.
