In all seriousness though I would attach a shyt ton of picks to Fournier to bring Mikal over.

Nobody on this roster is untouchable :mjlol:

Ya mans is washed. Get over it. And why would you want another roadblock for Toppin when he's hardly playing now with the Randle resurgence this year?
I thought he had a resurgent season last year, he looked good to me. He's transitioned well into primarly being a spot up shooter imo. Also how Obi is handled is whatever at this point, they don't really wanna play him regardless of who's here, and frankly I'm shocked he didn't get traded.

Bill Simmons said he knows for a fact the knicks were the other team trying to get KD. Im sick of being teased :beli:
The Nets were never gonna give us KD, they had to try though at least. If any other team was trading KD then RJ, Grimes, Obi and 5 picks might've got the job done.

I’m glad we tried and I’m glad it wasn’t leaked. I still contend that everything you hear connected to the Knicks isn’t actually coming from the Knicks. No way Brooklyn would have traded him to us tho…

Edit: Just got to that part funny enough, Simmons thinks it was more about upping the price to hurt the Suns and increase their shot at Booker down the road…

True, but they also had issues with Dejuante Murray. Last game he did whatever he wanted in that win. To be honest with KD out of the East is there a Wing who scoring ability our current wings can’t handle?

I don’t think it’s a coincidence Thybulle got sent West to the Pistons, the Lakers got Vanderbilt, all those teams in the west we’re trying to OG. Orlando has two big wings in Banchero and Franz, but they are still young as dirt. The only real scoring threats who are big wings are on the Bucks and Celtics and they are no way playoff experienced enough to compete with those teams. The Raptors wings are more defensive oriented.

Out East the majority of scoring wings are SG and smaller SF. Butler, Dejuante, Jaylen Brown, Lavine, RJ, Beal, Donovan Mitchell, Haliburton (sort of)

I say all that to say this, they might figure out the big wing in time, but where they are a smaller defender helps a lot. Once Mitch gets back a lot of teams are going to struggle against the Knicks defense.

Josh Hart's not undersized against 95% of wings, and the ones that shoot over him are damn near impossible to stop. Undersized isn't just about height. He's got a solid wingspan (6'9) and he's 216 lbs (Obi's 220 for comparison).

Hart's defensive issues in match-ups are generally against quick guys, but he holds up well against the types that power (or post-up) their way to a scoring location. Grimes is REALLY good against quick guys, but has had some trouble when bigger players can power through him to a good position to shoot over him. So in theory, they cover for each others' weaknesses.

For clarity sake, when I say Hart can replace RJ's slashing, or Grimes' defense, or IQ's tertiary playmaking; I mean to imply that he's not as good as those guys in each area. But he's good enough to cover for them on an off night. If a player's too big Grimes; Hart is a good alternative. If RJ's shooting the team out ofthe game; Hart can take him off the floor and still put pressure at the basket (albeit in more of a catch and slash way). If IQ's not moving the ball; Hart's a "make the right pass" kind of player.

But either way. Hart's not really undersized in the modern NBA. His size is rarely ever the problem in a defensive match-up (unless it's a smaller dude that's too quick for him).

In theory he’d be great with Hartenstein too but Thibs isn’t creative at all offensively.
