:manny: I have to assume Sims gets the start here. Maybe Hart can play better with the starters but as of now he has a negative net rating of -5.1 (which is in the bottom 20 percent in the league) which is the second worst on the team. Yes worse than Fournier, Reddish and Deuce.

It almost has to be Sims.

i feel like Obi is the type who's just "happy to be here".

his game hasn't improved or changed much in these 3 seasons, he'll be 25 in a few weeks and it's time to see what he's really about.

he's another one who's not utilizing and growing his skillset the way he should be. people really thought he'd end up being a baby Amare, but he's not built like that.
We legit don't see enough of Obi to even make an assessment of his game or mentality. But I do know in the small sample size where he was given the rock with feature minutes to go with it, he hooped his ass off.

Regardless, I think Obi is an example of how the wrong player going to the wrong team can negatively affect said player's growth. Obi isnt another case like Frank Ntilikina, Frank just flat out sucked, Obi on the other hand probably would've turned into at least pretty good player somewhere else.

They need to trade him to a team that needs a PF. I wanna see him flourish.

No reason Julius and Brunson can’t run this… and as for assists…

I mentioned a few weeks ago in the NBA random thought thread how nice the Kings offense is. It's a shame we don't get Julius Randle in more dribble hand off type situations at least. The Kings spam DHOs and sets in involving it. The Kings offense practically hums and they work way less hard for their buckets than we do.

we all know how this is going to go

Thibs is going to start the Vet

The Vet will either play well enough that the Knicks don’t skip a beat

Or the media/fans will become vocal enough with death threats to Thibs and Dolan that Thibs makes the changes and plays the younger player

Or Thibs Will become especially stubborn and do nothing until People start saying he should be fired

Leon Rose will avoid all scrutiny and responsibilities until something good happens.

There is a chance he starts Sims but Sims would have to be killing Hart in practice for that to happen.
