Jae salary is 9.7 million so the only person in that area is foutnier (14 million) and Rose (12 million). I doubt Thibs allows Rose to leave and Fournier may not be good enough for Phoenix
Fournier should be enough one of the Suns Achilles heel has been three point shooting...

Also Crowder isn’t all that what exactly would they want for him :skip:

"Hey Donovan, don't you wish you came to the kniiiiiiiiiiiiiii-ehhh-----cks!!!!! Bing bong."
I'm already prepared to waste another few thousand words explaining why Donovan could choose the Knicks around 2025 when his contract's almost up :mjcry: . But true Knicks luck is signing him at 32 right before his athleticism wanes from an injury he picks up 20 games into a promising season.

I think what’s hurting Barrett is Cam Reddish and Julius Randle and I don’t mean hampering Barrett game.

Cam Reddish has not only won Thibs over he’s starting to become a player Thibs really relies on. Not only that, Cam improvement particularly on defense has been staggering. So it begs the question how is Cam improving so much but not RJ?

Secondly Julius. When we brought in Brunson the purpose of Brunson was to improve the offense (he’s done that) but the improvement between Julius and Barrett is also telling. I believe Julius is +8 from last year in true shooting and +4 from his all nba season. Prior to last night game Barrett T.S was still 51 (same as last year) so there has to be something here. They both play heavy minutes with Brunson and Barrett shots are easier.

It puts Barrett in a tough light.
While true, I’ll shoot RJ some bail. If you swapped Julius and RJs standing in the offense you’d see the same. If Julius was relegated to just taking corner threes and forcing action because he feels like he should be the focus of the offense you’d get the same results. RJ isn’t accepting his role as the third banana and isn’t really cut out to be it. Don’t laugh, but look at all the “big threes”. The third guy is always relegated to floor spacer while the other 2 play a two man game. (Klay, Ray Allen, Bosh, Kevin Love etc) Brunson and Julius have that down. RJ is lost out there. If you got rid of Julius and it was RJ and Brunson cooking with Obi and Cam spacing we’d see a much better and more efficient RJ.

It’s why so many of the guys in here accurately pointed out that Grimes was a better fit for this starting lineup than RJ. Doesn’t make him the better player but the role necessary for Brunson and Randle to flourish fits Grimes game much more than RJs. We’ve done him a disservice (big surprise there)

Funny enough, the only third banana that wasn’t the case for was Manu Ginobli (and OKC Harden). And that really worked because they were used mostly with the second units.

I’ve been saying this since the preseason! I also think RJ can take Rose’s role as an initiator on offense after his contract is up

What's hurting RJ is he just runs into the defense and throws up some bullshyt.

If RJ has a cold then I'll throw him some bail because most people will act like they got knocked out by a boxing heavyweight when they catch one, but we can't act like this ain't the first time he's gone dumb cold like this before. He isn't even trying to go left to right on some possessions, just straight "charge!" and pray, it's like he's REGRESSED some honestly.

He has the tools to be an average NBA starter at least, but he's gotta learn how to be consistent.
