Watch this rumor.... I trust it way more than Lavine.

Go watch clips of Julius talking to PG. Julius is selling him on the knicks. They all CAA, and he could come here and be the clear number 1, Brunson 2, Randle 3, and RJ 4, and the clippers ain't looking to match salary and they don't need young guys who could get paid in a year or two. They need draft picks and guys who can be a short term draw.

CP3 and Kawhi can fill seats and they can then just go and rebuild on draft picks the knicks send them. The fact CAA is PG and CP3’s agency makes it more likely too.
RJ is definitely going in a PG trade though.

I don't think so. Who is going to play 3 all season? PG is here for a playoff run. Plus the clippers are looking to shed salary and rebuild. If they move PG it's not because they think they can win it all with RJ instead. Their team is on the low, washed.

50/50 they do it for a bunch of first rounders and swaps. He'll 50/50 they move PG now and then let Kawhi play half a season and move him next.

Cause without RJ, they’re just giving him away. Picks or not. RJ is on a great contract that you can sell as a young piece that can be added to a young core in the immediate future. Josh Hart will get heavy run at the 3 to give PG spells whenever needed.

That’s the thing. With the new salary rules, they might be better off just giving him away for nothing but draft picks.

2024 is the next great FA and they got tonpay Kawhi but would have money to match hum whatever star they want and draft picks to make trades. If they take RJ that is 41 mil between him and Norman Powell and who knows what a year looks like.

Paul George?
33 years old and hasn't hit 60 games played in 5 years? :what:
That's such a desperation move
No
Another reason I don't think they move RJ. Breh is good, but not gut your team good. Send them the draft picks, send them Obi and Rokas, give them a mix of Knicks and protected picks. It's a fair deal

My knicks brethren’s don’t know what the fukk they want anymore lol.

Back n forth about Beal, lavine, now PG.

Beal hadn’t played over 50 games in the last 2 seasons and hadn’t played 60 in 4 seasons.

PG. “Need him for playoff run”. Hahahaha, that nikka ain’t making it to the playoffs healthy.

I don’t want lavine either, but he’s 5yrs younger than PG, has played more and stayed relatively healthier as well, he played 77 games this past season. And is a threat to go off for 30+ on any given night.

Is a contender if PG is healthy come the playoffs :hubie:

They can load manage PG and that lineup would be basically the Knicks lineup right now

Brunson/IQ
Grimes/Hart

We're really out here jumping out the window on this shyt.

A couple years back in one of the most point guard heavy drafts, when we're starting Elfrid fukking Payton and have a carousel of trash lead guards over the years and needed a fukking lead guard, we draft Obi Toppin in the lottery to be a back up to our "franchise" player as opposed to any of the fukking lead guards that were available at that slot.

Fast forward a few years and in a wing heavy draft, when we are in need of a big wing, we find ourselves with no picks and now the fan base, so desperate to fill that gap, are salivating over older, injury plagued, never won shyt wings and even deluding ourselves into saying some shyt like a Thibodeau coached team would load manage a player.

Now, in retrospect, I don't doubt for a second the front office even back then knew they were making a push for Brunson when they did and decided against drafting a point guard of the future in Brunson's favor, but to not have a shot at any of these wings in this wing loaded draft is damn near criminal and I really hope they're trying to make up for the Obi mistake and are cooking up something to get into the first round for a wing so we're not out here hoping for the ghost of Paul George.

In this league, with the wing position being what it is, we really should be trying our hand at getting youth in that slot, not guys with nearly a decade or more in the league, pushing, at, or past 30. We haven't exactly had the best track record with aging stars and we'd probably be better off without them at this point.

I think getting another bucket getter should definitely be a focus this off season, but when it comes to wings, given the abundance on cheap, team controlled contracts this draft, let's hope they forgo all that and grab one on the cheap from the draft and/or free agency and save those assets for something else.

Respectfully, my guy.

:hubie: I’m not saying you’re wrong

However, they aren't even working guys out who are projected to be chosen in the second round.

Also all of the marquee trade targets this offseason have questionable availability, durability, and health. It's gonna come down to price and potential. How much are they worth for a chance at a deep run. If the clipped except expiring and picks the knicks do it because you are adding PG to their current team and the knicks become contenders.

Simmons made the case for trading for Ayton on his pod today. He undervalued the hell out of Mitch though. Basically said Mitch is a tier 4 center while Ayton is probably the 6th best center in the league (the top of tier 2) depending on how good Wemby is right away. Said the Knicks could offer IQ, Fournier and Mitch for Ayton. Said he’d do Brogdon and Robert Williams for Ayton but the Celtics wouldn’t.
