He's a good coach, but he has a ceiling and he'll never get a/this team over the hump.

shyts ridiculous that it's even a conversation at this point. It's great that he can get the best out of his players. It's great that he can help establish a culture and loyalty. But when it comes down to it, he can't get the job done. He can't adjust. He's one dimensional. He may very well help lay the foundation, but he won't be there for the parade. :manny:
He doesn’t have a “ceiling” a team could win a championship with him.

He’s never had anything close to a championship roster this team went as far as it could go in fact it went further than anyone thought.

So what you’re saying is Thibs doesn’t have a decorated 30+ year coaching career?

Keep thinking the grass is greener nikkas and y’all know more than professional basketball coaches :snoop:
We've seen Thibs flaws seriously exposed from his Bulls career to his Knicks career. Stop it bro lol. This isn't some hot take either, this is years of this dude doing the same things over & over thinking he's gonna get different results. It's why he was ran outta Chicago & Minny & a big reason D-Rose is a shell of his former self

No, this is the nonsense scapegoating typical of NBA fans.

He wasn’t “ran out” situations ran their course as is the NBA. If he was ran out then so was every other coach who parts ways with a team.

D-Rose was always a ticking time bomb.

Tom Thibodeau has never had anywhere near a championship roster.

His resume is certified he is a great coach among the best to never win a championship as a head coach.

Its his fault the lights get to bright for Randle in the playoffs?

You're talking about rosters, I'm talking about approach. Basketball is equal parts strategy and ingenuity as it is talent/roster.

He's unwilling to adjust his approach once he's made up his mind. That's a problem. That comes up limitations to success. That's his ceiling.

Your definition of great & the real definition of great are two different things. He runs his starters into the ground, that's a fact. His type of play isn't sustainable in the long run of an 82 game season. He's super slow to make adjustments, isn't creative on offense, makes questionable subs a lot of nights, outright plays favorites to the detriment of the team, & is out of touch with how the game is played today

Every coach is stubborn and could be called out for this. This is such a cliche among fans it’s crazy. There isn’t a single liked coach on this forum and almost every coach is called out for the same thing.
