I don't know who because FA hasn't started but I know this team needs a increase in talent that Burks isn't going to bring. The knicks have too many assets, and not enough talent to go into next season banking on Burks and KP to keep them competitive. Plus I told you Hart and Burks are tertiary parts of the knocks offense aka glue guys.
I can get the argument for KP based on talent but he’s injury prone and acted like a bytch the whole time he was in NY.

Fournier is going to get shipped out for someone. A better use of the exceptions would be to sign Mcbride to a little something so he is still under contract.

I think we have to discussion of stars and “Stars” that are going to be available. A “Star” of Joel Embiid caliber is not going to be available easily and we don’t have the assets for that type of trade contrary to what the fans think.
For Embiid a couple of things has to happen which is why the rumblings at the combine said it was a long shot. First it starts with Harden. If Harden stays none of this happens at all.
Part 2, assuming Harden does leave Philadelphia will instantly enter the process 2.0 and there’s just no Knicks package that’s beating Portland number 3 pick, Shaedon Sharpe and Simons. If anybody watch Sharpe it’s clear that kid has “it” and is ready to blow. No offense but Obi, Quick or Rj is matching that kid.
Now getting back to Stars (not Embiid level) there are a couple that should be available. KAT, Derozan, Beal, possibly Paul George (I’m skeptical on this) and Jaylen Brown. Are any of those guys really worth giving up heavy assets? Maybe Jaylen is but how much are you willing to give for him? I don’t think the FA moves out there are heavy enough right now which is why the Porzingis and Burks deals make more logical sense.
Anyways whatever happens the Knicks only have this summer left to do it. Barrett 107 million dollar extension kicks in now and you only have Fournier and Rose (31 million combined) contracts for this year only before they hit unrestricted free agency.
Add in the fact you have to pay Immanuel Quickley (who despite the playoffs will still want his money) and Josh Hart (who we traded assets for) this is it.

Stop ignoring the question you've been asked repeatedly. If you can shoot down obtainable proposals, you can drop your own. There are free agents and unhappy players/teams throughout the league and it's no secret. Who's this PG you want and how will you get him, sir?

No offense but KP being a bytch ain't got nothing to do with how he plays on the court, and by all metrics he was top 25-30 player this year. He's a clear upgrade at C an fills a dire need with shooting and spacing. If you don't want him signed because you don't like him that's fair, but the man is dumb nice. KP would be the second best player here and he was the best player in Washington this year easily. Also, his injury history is something that will likely be priced into his next contract, and if it isn't, don't sign him. I'm advocating for KP coming back under the premise he'll be less costly than other options, I'm not saying he's a must sign.
And Burks brings some shooting and secondary playmaking, we need both. Yeah it'd be nice we had a lot of better options to chose from but who's out there? We can't swing for the fences if there's no ball to hit.
I could see that happening actually.

Grimes nor Quickley should be given up on based on their playoff performances. These are young players with skillsets that are not easily to replace who we haven’t even seen all of.
These playoff series are a handful of games we have to stop overreacting. Plenty of guys shoot like shyt or have poor series especially role players who can run hot and cold in the playoffs. It’s just a handful of games man.

I want to trade for them now so they won't eat our depth. Rose and Fournier is about 35 mil in salary the team can take back.
We literally have too many draft picks. What draftee unless supremely talented is getting minutes ahead of the current roster. You can make an argument Toppin, Mcbride, and Sims need more minutes. Trade the stuff we don't need for someone Now of they gonna end up like Ainge on the Celtic drafting kids to ruin their careers with no playing time.
Also you can search for verification but I been saying this year’s FA would suck going two years back. If bytchass KP is a top FA you should know FA ain't the way this year.
