white ppl have more TIME to care about shyt (hip hop notwithstanding) since they have more money and less shyt to worry about like bills and feeding their kids, etc."

I wish....

..for real though, I've been listening to hip hop for a long time (i still have some old ass hiphop tapes). I own about 900 hiphop cd's and grew up with a crew of friends that listened to strictly hiphop...but damn near all the peoples I grew up with just stopped listening to hiphop. Now, for every 50 white guys I know that are into hip hop they don't really know shyt except for what they hear on the radio...the guys I do know that claim to be hiphop heads are only knowledgeable about just a small portion, like they only listen to old Def Jux shyt and Atmosphere, or they only listen to shyt they hear on Top 40 radio. They couldn't name 4 members of the Wu or tell you the name of a Gang Starr album. I haven't met a white guy in years who is listening to something like Little Brother, Big Krit, or J Cole....but I hear people all the time saying you hear that new Weezy album? The black guys I see on the regular know a lot more about hiphop than the white guys I do.

-White people care more about Negro League baseball than black people
-White people care more about Jimi Hendrix than black people
-White people care more about historic Jazz music than black people
-Older white people care more about learning black history/culture than younger black people
-White people care more about hip-hop in general than black people, and are willing to PROVE it by buying albums/showing up at concert.

You might not like what I said, but I've seen all this with my own 2 eyes. :yeshrug:

a lot of young black people are lost, almost beyond rescue. it's sad, and i'm sure some will blame whites, but there comes a point when you take responsibility for your own stupidity. i know my people aren't stupid, but so many of us act like it.

It's a complete fallacy...the overwhelming vast majority of white hip hop fans are into the most mainstream commercial rap (common sense would seem to scream this simple fact...the MAINSTREAM is mainstream for a reason)....for whatever reason when we do this a couple times of year, people pretend like hardcore white hip hop nerds are the typical/average white hip hop fan and compare them to actual average black fans...just one of those things that people are either too stupid or too biased to see clearly...people take some extreme tiny minority of the white community and extrapolate it to white people as a whole, it's kinda bizarre...there are black hip hop nerds too

The vast majority of you pieces of shyt need to be kicked in the face. Pathetic ass retrospective cultural gatekeeping arrogant white dudes and sad ass wannabe against the grain negroids on some old "we don't support, we don't even know our own history" shyt.

fukk outta here with these absolutely insane and downright retarded theories about who knows what about rap.

Embarrassing.

This is basically what this white hiphop nerd was saying...I would say that less than 3 or 4 percent of white "hiphop fans" know anything other than what they hear in the mainstream.

The same can be said for any race, about anything. Most people aren't knowledgeable, period, about anything beyond what is put directly in front of their faces.

As far as the topic at hand, more white people do care about "real hip-hop" than black people. You know why? Because there is more white people. You could also just as easily say "Wack Rapper #23947 has more white fans". I remember Gucci Mane was "the hood" champion a few years ago....but wait, Miley Cyrus is a fan too. How is this possible?! There is obviously strict racial lines between different types of rap!

Whtie folks get "all" the credit for keeping it "real hip hop" but zero credit for their numbers making wack rappers go platinum. That's how it works.

Bottomline, what I woke up to everyday in the early 80's that people called hip hop from a far was niqqas just living everyday black life in the city. The fukk do I need to dress up in some shyt we moved on from? fukk outta here. It be these same cats that tell me Malachi the Nutcracker was deep and the Celladwellas put out a classic album because they did some online homework. fukk outta here.

My mans and them tagged trains. Later, they sold crack. shyt was just everyday issues and life. What the fukk...we were supposed to say "Hey man. Dont' throw away your gazelles or your suede pumas!! People are going to want to follow this moment in time 30 years from now and say the everyday life you're experiencing is REAL!!!" :rudy:

Muthafukkas see it from afar and want to emulate the shyt and tell ME what's real. Man please. Yall trying too hard and will never capture that moment in time.

The fukk are you going on about? :wtf:

I'm saying, literally any thing, from "wack" rap, to "real hip-hop", is going to be dominated by white people, just based on sheer statistical numbers. Yes white people are the ones at the MF Doom concerts....they're also the ones making wack rappers go plat. The two aren't mutually exclusive. Save all that other shyt for your blog.

You're offended.

"real hip hop" my ass. Niqqas moved on, yet white folks want to cherry pick a moment in time and say they care for it more than others. Well guess what? When it was genuine and real, few whites had interest in it.

I didn't see any at the Roxy.

I didn't see any at Latin Quarters.

Man please. Caring "after the fact" because of the numbers you seek doesn't reflect some majority or overriding sentiment. It reflects the typical arrogance we frequently see from a people who always want to be the authors to shyt.

a lot of young black males only like "cool" rappers, to me the sh!t is borderline homosexual but thats what it is, whether they admit it or not. a lot of young white fans are more about the actual music, they don't care if you got swag, if they feel your music they'll rock with you and buy tickets to your shows and all that good sh!t. i was playin "black on both sides" not too long ago and my little cousin was like "these n!ggas dress like bums, put somethin else on". :youngsabo:
