Really dislike the way we lean into this seasoning shyt while simultaneously dying of hyper tension and heart disease more than anyone on the planet. Flooding your food with MSG and salt doesn't make it better. It just means you're addicted to sodium and processed foods.

The cheeses a lot of Italian foods use are pretty salty. Which, ironically, is why many of them also die of hyper tension and heart disease. If you're eating pasta with pecorino Romano and think you need more salt, you have a problem.
They be living to 110 years old eating Maggie cubes. It's lack of cardio and snacking that be fukking us up

Italian food is okay at best, people who act like its the GOAT are weirdos.
I like some Italian food like spaghetti, pizza, lasagna, and some others and hate some other dishes and while I like pizza, I hate some versions of pizza.

Same with Nigerian food. I love some of it, hate some of it.

I’ve never been to Italy, so I don’t know, but it’s clear from the discourse in here that the Tweet is talking about Italian food in Italy and posters are talking about American Italian food.

When I was a kid I wasn’t into abacha and moi moi

As an adult, I think it took black brilliance to invent those dishes
:blessed:

As an adult, risotto and lasagna are trash

I still don't like either. Moi Moi just don’t taste good to me. Risotto is nasty but lasagna is the shyt. My pallet is too American. I noticed it when I went to Nigeria.

Determining whether Nigerian or Italian food is "better" is largely subjective and depends on personal preference. Both cuisines have unique characteristics and specialties that make them appealing to different people.

Italian cuisine is one of the most internationally recognized and loved, known for its variety and richness. Famous for pizza, pasta, risotto, lasagna, and an array of cheeses and wines, Italian food emphasizes fresh, high-quality, seasonal ingredients. It ranges from simple and hearty to complex and refined.

Nigerian cuisine, on the other hand, is rich, colorful, and diverse, reflecting the country's multicultural nature. It features various stews, soups, rice dishes, and the prominent use of spices, tomatoes, and vegetables. Dishes like Jollof rice, Egusi soup, Pounded yam, and Suya are popular. Nigerian food is known for its bold flavors and hearty dishes.

So, the "better" one between the two would depend on your personal preferences in taste, dietary restrictions, and food experiences. Some might prefer the comforting and familiar flavors of Italian cuisine, while others might appreciate the bold and diverse flavors in Nigerian cuisine. The best way to determine which you prefer would be to try dishes from both cuisines and decide for yourself!
