Hopefully I get the chance to be in that situation but I know there are many others that won't be. My parents could've kept my grandma's old townhouse but sold that and my uncle sold my paternal grandparents house before market started going up like crazy. Its tough out there and only getting worse. Some of our parents didn't always make the best financial decisions and for those of you whose parents made the worst ones, it leaves you in a worst spot and tougher to get out of. That's why I say to all you young posters in your teens and early 20's to try and get your finances in order as early as possible. Investing, saving, having good credit, everything you can do to get your financial knowledge in order and succeed. Inflation hitting bad and who knows if a recession is coming. Take some time and study up on finances and how the game works. Its a long term game and retirement isn't likely for another 40 years, if that, depending on your finances at that time. Some people gotta work even longer. Sheek Louch said it best when he said,
And plan for the future 'cause you figure
You gon' be older way longer than you gon' be younger
And plan for the future 'cause you figure
You gon' be older way longer than you gon' be younger
