Who cares what Johnson thought? All people are tribal by nature. Its only racism when there's a power structure attached to it. Johnson can call us all the ******s he wants to as long as he's signing legislation to weaken the racist power structure. Bigoted and distasteful? Sure. Racist? Not really.

:heh: thats a pretty well known author, he's actually a dikk imo from interviews ive seen in him but he has bob woodward status, no publisher is gonna print a book like that without checking the sources

but either way if you dont think that is the way johnson thought you're an idiot

what exactly is your line of pursuit here? Pretty much everyone in this thread has agreed w/ the idea that racism is not the exclusive domain of the right. Your insecurity is showing the way you want to indict the left for racism, as a way to submarine the discussion and cover for the racism on the right which blankets the party.

Who cares about an off-hand comment by LBJ, even if he did actually say it. His administration passed the most meaningful laws to the direct benefit of black america since our emancipation, which further weakened racist functionalism. Thats all that matters --- not your attempts to re-define him through innuendo and hearsay.

While the efforts to undermine the condition of black america have been bi-partisan efforts, its the right that has been far, far, far more socially and politically aggressive in enforcing and reifying that condition by attacking the collective intelligence, work ethic, and spirit of the black community. The right is the home to insulting rhetoric towards minorities. To deny such, is to reside in a parallel universe of your own constructions.

I know he's a well-known author, but an argument from authority doesn't reflect on whether the claims are true or not, and read the reviews for that book- much of its own readership acknowledges how unreliable much of its information is. Secondly, if it was widely believed to be true, then why isn't that quote found in any other credible history books or political sources? Why is it that I only see it posted on message boards by random posters?

Publishers print books with wrong information and unsourced claims in them all the time. Just look at the NYTimes Bestseller list if you need proof (in fact, I'm pretty sure this same book was up there at one point.)

As for Johnson thinking that way, that's neither here nor there. I'm interested in that quote.

I didn't know they taught deflecting in Med school. One week Carson's comparing Pedophilia/Beastility to Homosexuality marriage...saying self admittedly stupid shyt and the next week he's got us talking about covert racist White Liberals, their Black slaves, and how White Libs hate Blacks that dont think like them.

And that's why the attacks against me have been so vicious because I represent, you know, an existential threat to them. They need to shut me up, they need to get rid of me. They can't find anything else to delegitimize me. So they take my words, misinterpret them, and try to make it seem that I'm a bigot.
Yeah they bashing you cuz they're racist, not because said and continue to say stupid things

:dwillhuh: Is he pulling the race card?

No offense, but you come across as some one who is experiencing severe personal discomfort and trauma, and you're using our interface as an outlet for those disappointments.

I do not enjoy your posts at all. You are comfortable in advancing nothing but blatant troll bait, and wack insults. Your contributions arent fit for a junior high civics discussion, and would be better matched in JBO at this point. Grow up, and stop with this weak uncle ruckus impersonation, you fcking buster.

your argument is weak as hell, books like that get run through a fine tooth comb, of course its possible but its highly unlikely, the onus is on you to prove its wrong and again unless you are retarded or are ignorant about johnson you would know that that is the exact way johnson was known to talk, that is why nobody has challenged it, there isnt any real reason to challenge it.....unless you are are a black liberal that loves whipping out the lee atwater quote and now find yourself getting a taste of your own medicine

even if you doubt the quote, i feel sorry for you if you dont think that is the way he thought, you are a very naive individual if you doubt the gist of that quote

Books like that get published a dime a dozen. Come on, son, the world of "tell-all" publishing, in which this is included, relies specifically on lower standards because sensationalism sells. If you look at the book, you'll notice it's filled with gossip like who slept with who, etc, and which is not really possible to verify.

the onus is on you to prove its wrong and again unless you are retarded or are ignorant about johnson you would know that that is the exact way johnson was known to talk, that is why nobody has challenged it,

The onus is on me for questioning gossip (well, it's not even gossip since, like I said, it's not widely repeated in other sources.) Ok. If your standards for truth are that low, or are that dispensable when you see a quote that fits your agenda, then don't expect to be taken very seriously.

there isnt any real reason to challenge it.....unless you are are black liberal that loves whipping out the lee atwater quote and now find yourself getting a taste of your own medicine

Yet it's been challenged before, and no reputable sources are willing to repeat the quote in publishing. What does that tell you?

:rudy:@ "taste of my own medicine." I'm not a liberal, and no one left of center in this thread has denied liberal racism, so why do you continue to push this strawman? Seems to me like you've got some emotional need to try and get in on left bashing whenever it shows up, no matter how weak, unsubstantiated, or reaching it is. On this particular theme, you've become completely kneejerk and predictable.

:usure: He was no hero he helped with one hand and hurt with the other

His social welfare programs decimated the black family structure and a big part of the reason
black kids are more likey to grow up without fathers

the war on poverty has created even more poverty

He doubled down on vietnam which was costing more black lives than any other american war

and thats just off the top of my dome...

"The DEMOCRATIC PARTY is full of a bunch of a SMART A$$ WHITE BOYS" - former Atlanta Mayor and UN Ambassador ANDREW YOUNG...........

i remember Andrew Young causing a stir when he alledgedly said this off record to a reporter...and didn't come into the reality of the truth he revealed till i myself had the "OPPORTUNITY" to work amongst a plethora of east coast based jewish white liberals in the downtown real estate market several years ago.

and :whoo:

let me just be the first to say.....................

DEM CRAKKKERS MADE THE REDNECKS SEEM LIKE COOL PEOPLE!!!

They were so CONDESCENDING.........even thier GOOD DEEDS were full of pity and contrived....

matter of fact one of these "white liberals" whom i thought was a cool lady......who was a powerful figure in the local democratic party......eventually tried to get me FIRED cause i didn't "JUMP" when at her request...like i was her puppet

like as DR. BEN CARSON said..."how dare u think the way you think"......just find yourself disagreeing with a white liberal and WATCH HOW "RED" with anger thier BLEEDING HEARTS make them become , because you fail to see them as the SOLUTION TO ALL YOUR PATHETIC ETHIC NEEDS......

FUKK DEM..............I'M RIDING WITH DR. BEN CARSON..... :myman:

even though i know the CONSERVATIVE RIGHT WING/FOX NETWORK crowd is USING him to attack the PRO-OBAMA left wing.

but the ENEMY OF MY ENEMY is NOT my FRIEND :shaq2:

This is exactly what Im talking about. THe bolded is a conservative canard that suggests that blacks are so low and slovenly, that we would rather live like pigs on welfare, rather than show collective industriousness, and work ethic. It conveniently dismisses racism as a social and economic barrier, (and things like the prison industrial complex) and indicts the collective black nature, and the racist interpretation of it.

Economically, its a complete lie. The great society programs cut the black poverty rate in half in a decades time. In conjunction with that, the black unemployment rate was 5% higher than whites in the early 70s, directly following the LBJ admin. Black unemployment and poverty exploded under Reagan.

I tend to disagree with Dr. Carson on a lot of the things he says but I don't disagree with this.
Most of the uproar about him is from liberals who automatically take a stance that a black man is not allowed to be truly conservative as if it is wired in a black person's DNA at birth to be liberal. A lot of white liberal's also take a very patriarchal stance with black people that borders on the condescending...as if the white liberal knows what is best for black people and is the only true advocate a black person in America has to fight for them.

Go visit conservative websites. Most comments about blacks would fit right in at st0rmfr0nt. Carson is a c00n and a house ******. There is no debate about that. He's too proud to see he is being used by people who despise us.
