you do it for raw poltical power, that is the connotation of a faustian bargain, not everything has to be about saving the world and altruism, sometimes you have to make raw power moves just for the fuk of it
not voting was the "strategy", at least pre obama, and might come again post obama, i would strongly suggest we change that strategy

You annoy people because you argue in a way that is wholly disingenuous. And please do not respond with some attempted snappy comeback diss because I'm not trying to diss or insult you personally or go another round of e-tit for tat.
You use this "intellectual freedom" stuff as a mask for you to go against the grain of popular opinion, then play victim as if there's a herd mentality that wants to squash dissent and have everyone in lockstep. But that's not the case. People are just engaging in exchange of ideas and have some sharp disagreements.
If you think Friedman neoliberal economic policies, or black SES is mostly due to culture or what have you, just make that case. You have the "intellectual freedom" to do so. But all this extra shyt about "marxist liberal posters wanting to stifle dissenting opinion, you're a marxist and you think black people must be marxists, yadda, yadda, yadda" and these copouts of how you believe in "intellectual freedom" while hypocritically telling others how they need to think and act by virtue of them being black is just a disingenuous smokescreen, and along with all your sarcastic self-aggrandizing one-liners, it is condescending and insulting.
I don't disagree with some of the stuff you say. But getting a rational, honest argument out of you seems near impossible. We've all been posting here for years and "know" each other pretty well. There's no need for you to continue to assume this antagonistic posture.

HH4L is a long time GOP parrot. In the context of his posting history any left wing slander is an implicit endorsement of the GOP. Like Twimmy he makes excuses for or outright ignores the blatant racism of the right, but somehow sees racism in everything the left does. Unlike Twimmy though, when called on it he won't respond... he is a habitual stone thrower/hand hider.
So in that context him calling for us to "leave the Dem plantation" is a call to join him in being a GOP exhibit.
i just do not agree, i think i have made the case, i also go on about marxist thinking and thrown some insults here and there and maybe you latch on to that, but i think ive made the case for my positions
the reason for me throwing around intellectual freedom is 1) the insults that are thrown around and 2) i honestly believe black people are in an economic and intellectual rut 3) i honestly think the notion that people like tim scott or carson are some big threat and sellouts that need to be lambasted is silly

half this thread is just me pointing out you fabricating things that ive said, i have never said government is the key
i never said i was a conservative or a republican, i said i was center right, so im not sure why you want me to defend the GOP, the case i was making was that it doesnt really matter who black people vote for cuz both sides are racist and a lot of democratic ideas have not worked, the GOP has some better positions on some issues and overall racism is just one factor out of many and i think i explained very clearly why i thought that way
the fact that you disagree doesnt mean i didnt make my case
