I misinterpreted that part. That was my error and I apologize ( I was actually surprised you went there with that so Im glad I was mistaken). The rest of my response stands; however, because you did try to paint black women as somehow being mentally befuddled by "white feminists" and unaware that they are, in your eyes, contributing to a "pro-white movement". Nope. Cant fukk with that.
I can respect this response from you man. But feminism in it's inception was all about supporting the rights of white women before anybody else...so in essence, it is a pro-white movement.

The Women's Rights Movement started in 1848 and went on til 1920. In that period black people were enslaved and freed only to be disenfrachised and to be the victim of Jim Crow Laws...the Civil Rights movement came DECADES after that...that's the difference between the two. The early stages of the women's rights movement explicitly excluded black women hat wanted to be involved because of racism.

I know you go hard for the rights of black women, and I do too...but I'm not trying to say that black women were mentally "befuddled" by white feminists...I would just like them to research where and when this all started so they can understand why feminism tries to lean towards the rights of white women before anybody else. I would never try to say anything to discredit black women like that. I'm a person that respects the rights of all people, so I'm just disappointed that they don't respect ours or acknowledge black women completely.

I'd argue that white feminists and white women have sent more black men to jail under some BS than anybody else.

They on tumblr too calling out their bullshyt as well.

Let's not just say women of color...it's mainly black women calling out their bullshyt!

Most of these white feminists are racists in disguise. They only use the issues of black people and "POCs" as a talking point for props from other white feminists. As well, I think they do it conviently to not be seen as racist...but look at their blogs...they don't f*ck with black people at all.

I swear to god mayne...after blogging on tumblr, I just end up resenting these cacs even more man...even when they try to do something progressive, their racism and allegiance to preserving the legacy/institution of whiteness f*cks it up.
I feel you. I'm not usually a fan of the term "POC" because a lot of times it's used when the topic at hand really is about black people but the people using the term don't want to just come out and say it for whatever reason. Also, it can trivialize important distinctions between people of color and our experiences. In the instance I was referring to it was appropriate tho, because it really was black, asian, middle eastern, latin etc. women calling them out. :obama:

But, yeah despite some of the corny rethoric we see on this board black women ride for black men on the regular. :mjcry:

And you should be inspired to support the black community instead of resenting white people. Word to this post:

May it inspire you to not care about racist whites and support your black brethren.

This is absolutely true, this kind of BS makes it harder for people like myself to give a fukk. I'm not gonna lie, I went from "of course everyone should be equal and let me learn more of this struggle" to "get the fukk out of here with this BS " these last two years (same goes with the gay movement). My main stance has not changed AT ALL tho (stil totally 100 % pro-equality), just tired of this kind of BS.

True, white men do this to us men too.

Ive seen many try to force us to focus more on classism (which helps them alone) and less on racism.

Which is why I said that we need to keep our issues within the community.

It's all about preserving whiteness and white supremacy...that's why they won't

It's easier to continue to demonize black people than actually address the elephant in the room.

Who is really losing in this when we are pitted against each other? We all are. Its a lot of pro-black male not pro-black. I understand this makes it harder. If this makes you turn a blind eye, your sisters are still going through it. It is white supremecy, seperating us by color and sex. That is why I acknowlege both sides.

@7Revo if we are gonna keep it in the community, we have to be a community.

I feel that completely...in the end, no one should really be surprised. Stuff like this should make black people come together and support each other more...

I don't feel like wasting anymore energy on people that ain't feeling us...

It's just absolutely incredible that men & women - specifically black - who acknowledge that race factors into 99% of every facet of our day to day lives could so vehemently deny that racial politics would play a factor here.
I guess law enforcement only disproportionately affects men of color in every other situation.

Is anyone here really surprised though? I've been saying this forever. They are out to slander and murder all black men. It's not enough that there is a legal genocide taking place in this country. Not enough that black women are insecure about their hair, and their skin. Not enough that the odds are already against us. They want to make us look as unnerving and unappealing as possible.
