Nah. The first episode or two has always been fantastic. The rest of the season is filler until the mid-season break, which is kickass, back to filler, then a shocking must see cliffhanger season finale -- rinse and repeat.
Kirkman's been salty ever since Darabont added Merle and Darryl and the Jenner revelation. Kirkman never intended for there to be reason or resolution to what was happening and why. He really did want 20 seasons of rinse and repeat.
AMC did Darabont dirty, then got rid of everyone associated with him except for the actress playing Carol.
People mad at Gimple forget Gimple was supposed to be the savior of the show after all of the hate the dude brought in after Darabont got. The show was hamstrung by AMC's executive meddling from the get-go.
For me, I checked out completely after the Everybody Hates Chris actor got ate in a revolving door. Ezekiel's actor brought me back for an episode or two. I just don't want to be invested in a show with no pay-off.
This show is all hype, promo, filler, and under-delivering.
First episode is probably gonna do ok numbers because some people think Rick will die in it. After they see he doesn't that episode, and that it's the same slow paced, lackluster characters we do not care for. Talking about rebuilding civilization for 35 minutes until shyt pops off in the last 10. Viewership will drop tremendously, and won't recover even after Rick dies. I think most people now just skip all the filler, and watch a recap on YouTube. Same thing with WWE Raw right now (ratings are at it's lowest). Honestly, i want this show to fail now. It's been milked long enough. I commend the actors and actress' who have to put up with the bullshyt scripts, and idiots who run the show, but AMC has everything coming to them.
THAT BEING SAID!
I will watch on Sunday, and probably the whole season. Yeah, I know
I'm disappointed in myself for watching. I'm expecting the same ol' shyt, so the bar is so low for me that the show couldn't possibly get anymore dryer.
Who am i kidding. Especially with my nikka Rick dying. This shyt will set a new record low just like last season, and the season before that one.
Are they really going to kill him off or is he going to just leave the group and be traveling to find Morgan to give him a season or two break?
They have to realize show is dunzo if they murk him.
Killing main characters only works when their death has meaning and it's perceived that their whole story has been told and really pushes the story forward
Game of thrones is actually really good at how they use the deaths of main characters to propel the main story
When you watch a movie or read a good book over and over is it because the ending was great or was it the build up towards the ending.
I don't know how else to explain it.

You're not even necessarily wrong, but that doesn't mean spoilers should just go around unchecked.
Not that I'm invested in this show or franchise anymore, but I can't stand the laissez-faire attitude about spoilers on the internet (and keeping it bloody, discussions with black folks) most of the time.
