Basically from season 3 onward. We just didn’t realize for another season or 2 how they didn’t have any actual plan for where they wanted to take the show and it’s characters. For my money it’s by far the worst fall off.

Cuz these dumbasses bet the farm on Negan....and killed off the most compelling and intimate characters in his name.......this show has by far THE WORST decision makers I’ve seen of any hit show in sometime. The show’s demise is strictly an inside job.

I agree with most of the negatives in here, but I don’t agree when people say the show just got progressively worse (except for the last 2 seasons, that I agree with) seasons 5 & 6 were better than 3 & 4 imo, Ricks whole decline into a crazy ego driven cold blooded murderer who gave zero fukks about anyone that wasn’t in his group was

Seeing Rick slowly transform into nearly everything Shane was was great, crazy motherfukker was really ahead of his time

Really interested to see what they do with Shane since Jon Bernthal was filming with them this season.

There are so many problems with this show now that I dont really know where to start. I'll just chalk it all up to the storytelling being trash and the writers being idiots.

The only reason I'm tuning in is to see how Rick dies. This could be their gamechanging moment and a way to be bold and completely transform the show into something new, depending on how they handle his death. BUT lets be real, it'll prolly be some cheesy ass death where he's holed up in a shed with another member of the group with walkers surrounding them, and he does his "YOU STILL HAVE A CHANCE TO RUN. LEAVE! I'LL HOLD EM BACK!" bullshyt.

The show's fall off had nothing to do with negan. negan is the only redeemable character on the show at this point. Last season woulda been completely unwatchable if it wasn't for negan. They just did a horrible job developing his character.

Glenn dying didn't faze me at all. He wasn't that great. I always felt the maggie/glen storyline was fukkin horrible. Every scene they did together was some sappy ass bullshyt. I think so many people were turned off by glenn's death just because of how gruesome it was. But that was the walking dead's problem. From the very beginning they were too scared to take risks. And when they finally did, it only backfired. They coddled their fanbase from the start. Made em soft. This was essentially a zombie show the whole family could enjoy.

They played it safe for 7 seasons then decided they wanted to grow some balls. They tried to reinvent themselves, then got hit with backlash by the bytchmade fanbase they created. And then instead of sticking to their guns and going full blown "fukk it" mode, they tucked their tail between their legs, literally apologized, and went back to being the p*ssy ass show it always was.

And this isnt even the main reason they fell off. They just got stale. Flat out. They knew their audience would eat up any bullshyt they put out. they kept making the same fukkin season over and over, like NBA 2K doing roster updates and droppin the same game every year. These muthafukkers even had the audacity to have the main characters only appear in half the seasons, just because they were too cheap to pay them for every episode.

These fakkits did it to themselves. I've never been happier to see one of my favorite shows turn into a laughingstock. This is what they deserve. fukk em.
