On the plus side they didn't start out the gate doing nonlinear storytelling and unnecessary flashbacks/flashforwards in this episode but it also still feels like the same show as it has been.
There was nothing about this first episode that felt like a new showrunner was in charge. The energy was still exactly the same.
I may just watch it 30-45 minutes in, just so I can skip through the commercial and mundane scenes consisting of people gardening, building, training kids, and......... non-stop smiling.
