I'm not sure I'll be rewatching this over and over in the future, we'll have to see how I feel about it on subsequent viewings. I liked Birdman and Imitation Game slightly more I think.

Just watched it tonight. I love this flick

I thought it was decent. I didn't care too much for the gf story line and three lonely story line. They didn't do too good at timing and pacing. But The tension with Fletcher and Andrew was intense. And the ending was ground breaking.

my only complaint is that I desperately want to know to what happens to andrew (his life, career, etc)

This is the part that I actually don't care about because the story was about him and his relationship with the teacher.
The part where he is talking to his family at the dining table, the questions they asked were what we as the audience would ask to understand his motivations etc. Understand what music program he was in? Career aspirations etc.

He was in one of the best music programs in the country and he wanted to be the best drummer ever.
