Brehs and the way Angel characters died were hella fukked up.

Fred's soul got completely destroyed, so she couldn't even come back if they tried.

except Anya.

And yeah, me and one of my friends actually discuss this all the time. Yeah, Joss keeps you on your toes with those unexpected deaths....

but that last season of Angel, it just sorta felt like he got bored and started wrecking their lives as much as inhumanly possible. lol

But as far as the show goes...

I didnt take a liking to Fred until the Jasmine Arc. Didnt like her at all. When it finally settled in that Illyria was all that was left, I was sad as hell.

But not as sad as when LILAH died.

Somebody should make a Buffy/Angel appreciation thread. :to:

Fred's death was what got me. :to: Reason why is because her soul was completely annihalated once Illyria took over. No afterlife for her and no chance of returning.

Wesley got a raw deal too. He's in hell now because of the Wolfram and Hart contract.

fuuuck it just hit me that Fred being lost was what she was afraid of the most...

after being lost in that other dimension, she felt like it was the worst thing in the world to just be.... out there. Remember her conversations with Conner about him being in the Hell dimension?

Then her soul got obliterated and possibly went nowhere and/or everywhere.

Fuuuuuuck Fred was a good soul.... A good kid! She didn't deserve that, breh....

How could I forget President Palmer on 24. :to:

24 Season 5 was some of the most gut-wrenching :mindblown: tv I ever saw. And, Michelle got blown up to in that season to. 24, always killed off their best characters with no reservations. :noah:

What made Bodie's death worst, was how the camera did that slow-motion effect when he got popped in the head and his limp body fell to the ground. He just had that talk with McNulty too. :sadbron:

As far as "Angel"....

To me Wesley's death was sadder because he got shanked up then asked Illyria "let me see her one last time" so she shape-shifted into Fred and told him she loved him right before he died. shyt was :merchant::to: because you know he knew that really wasn't her.

On a side note I think Wesley has the GOAT on-screen character transformation, right there with Walter White. Dude went from being a nerdy failed Watcher on "Buffy" to being a complete bad ass on "Angel".

I guarantee Marvel sat Whedon down like :whoa: "you can't be killing off characters left and right" when he signed for "The Avengers". A lot of these post-"Avengers" Whedon fans don't realize he was infamous for that shyt.

Prolly the WORST situation I have ever heard of for a protagonist. Jesus.

And when did they mention that contract for Wes? Did they all have to sign that when they went to the law firm?

Yeah, which is why Lilah Morgan was still working for Wolfram & Hart after she died. All employees sign a contract.

U-Turn having a heart attack. He had quotables for days. Real talk if that same actor would have played 50 instead of Curtis doing it, that movie would have turned out better.

Like mentioned earlier, Bodie and Wallace. There will never be another show like that.
