I have to go with Texas on this one. I've had bbq in Austin (the heart of Texas) and had bbq in Memphis a few times. Can't comment on NC and KC.....

As someone who's lived in Texas, NC, and TN... Texas has by far the most overrated BBQ in America.

Memphis is the BBQ king and it aint even a competition.

KC; Arthur Bryant's is my shyt

I usually hit up Arthur Bryants or Gates when I'm out there but I heard Gates kinda fell off

I grew up in midtown KC, went to Paseo on 47th and Flora. Ate Gates religiously because it was at the foot of the hill where the school is.

I heard they fell off too.

Gates ain't fell off to me. They had that lil fire but they still get it done. I reckon I'm biased toward gates. To me Bryant's fell off and has been for sometime. I'd call Memphis the king cause they do chicken right. Texas is King because they do cow better than anybody, brisket, beef ribs you name it.

All bbq is not created equal. Texas does beef better than anyone else whereas aot of places focus on pork ribs and that ain't wavy. Memphis has bomb ass chicken and great sauces. KC has the thick sauce on lock.

Yep....RNS.....if i had to rank'em, A&R, Central, Rendezvous', Paynes'.....Corky's use to be my spot but they fell way the fukk off (dem biscuits still )

nah, they almost neck & neck to me....that dry rub the only thing that puts Memphis over the top.

My grandfather swears by Gates, fam..anytime either me or my sis come through KCMO, he'll ALWAYS has a spread out for us so I'm fairly partial to Gates too.
