Cloned Thor, the clone actually bodied a hero. Gave Spidey a new suit that he used to spy on him and when Spidey got cold feet after seeing how some unregistered super humans were getting shytted on. Tony Stark sent goons after him.

His attachment to Bucky, and Peggy for that matter is deeper than that. They are the only thing in his life left from his time. He would ride for his friends (Tony included) but the fact that everybody and everything else from his actual life are dead and gone is something you gotta keep in mind, he's still human, you a$$holes, put yourself in his boots.

He was responsible for massive amounts of death before he ever put the suit on and he KNOWS it. Who got more bodies between him Cap and Bucky put together? Even if they were by proxy he was responsible. That MIT student (some people are saying it was a set up by Zemo, I don't think so) was the straw that broke the camels back.

I know people didn't like AOU that much but you can really see him manifest some of those same qualities that gave birth do the MCU version, he even starts to look like him toward the end of the movie when his mask starts to get dinged up.

in the movie i sympathized more with tony but that's mainly because i felt RDJ gave a more convincing performance. in reality though i agreed with cap, i don't believe the avengers should operate under the government.

also for what it's worth i think the movie kinda shuns away from the discussion. it raises the question but it doesn't really do a great job of presenting either one's case. there's that one conversation but their views aren't really expanded upon in the actual story.

Imagine cops, as they do now, hurting, shooting, running over mofoes in patrol cars while in pursuit of criminals.
