I was 3 when Snoop dropped and even then I knew what he was doing would never be replicated. 50 a close second.
The biggest thing to me to decide who wins this is who had the most timeless, biggest hits during their peak/buzz. Snoop's hits are more timeless than 50's. Outside of "In Da Club" in 03, 50 not seeing Snoop's 1993/4 hits at all. 50 exploded at the perfect time.

Gotta remember that Snoop's run started in '92-'93. A time where hip-hop wasnt even played on platforms like that.
By the time someone like 50 had his run hip-hop was on a whole 'nother level. Mainstream x 1000.

If I’m not mistaken Snoop was the first rapper to sell like 800,000+ albums at that time with Doggystyle, he basically paved the way for others.
Snoop Dogg, that ain't even close.
Buzz = sales breh. What did you think "buzz" was....people talking about the artist without actually listening to their music?
Jeezy wasn't even selling the most in the era during his prime.
